The Church House Inn is a pub nestled in the heart of the village of Harberton near Totnes, south Devon. We serve honest food, fine wine and local ales. the building was built roughly 1450 and has been an inn/ pub ever since, bosting one of the most amazing rooms you will have ever been in for a pint or hearty meal, draped in history and character.

Our food menu changes daily and with the seasons. We serve straight forward food, using traditionally cooking techniques. Produce is sourced from the local area of the beautiful Devon countryside and fishing town of Brixham. please visit our website for our most current menu.
we also have a games room for pool and darts, and a heathy sided bar witch we keep for drinkers.

The Church House Inn will be hosting a Spring Sunday Roast. Serving Roast Hogget, from Oliver’s butchers in Totnes. Food will be served in one sitting and feasting style. Booking essential! £25 per person, Vegetarian option available, please make us aware when booking. Due to the nature of this event we are unable to accommodate any other dietary requirements. Optional £6 pudding or cheese supplement 13:00 arrival for drinks —Carving starts 13:30

We had a lovely meal at the Church House Inn in Harberton, nr Totnes last night. The chef was very attentive and helped us decide what to choose. It's a small menu, but everything sounds very good and we enjoyed what we chose. They have some small plates and sides so you can mix and match things if you don't want a main plate of food. The desserts were delicious as well and the wine reasonably priced. It's in a beautiful old building with thick beams, two woodburners, one at each end and candles on the tables make a very cosy ambience.

Relaxed unhurried lunch of well executed food with friendly informal service. Atmospheric decor with a good mix of locals popping in for a pint and scratchings (a must) and others seeking a different take on sunday lunch.

The menu is short which I like. There were 4 of us and we all tried to order different things. The rabbit pie special for 2 was delicious as were the first courses - especially the pear, squash and walnut salad. Great presentation. Even though we were full we decided to share 2 desserts which were also outstanding, the damson home made ice cream was amazing. I've always loved going to this pub for the atmosphere and am thrilled that the food is as good as the ambiance.

The cheese and celeriac pie, looked good but very overpriced and tasted very bland. Came with no vegetables or potatoes so had to pay extra for the side dishes. Far too expensive so won’t return.

The Church House Inn is a fabulous place, in a particularly lovely traditional village location. The food by chef Tim is imaginative and delicious, the service always charming and an occasion here delivers everything you could expect for a special evening out.
