   Lovely setting and atmosphere and the pub was relaxed. Considering how busy it was due Mother’s Day and the bonus of the glorious weather, with a number of walk ins for dining, all appeared to be accommodated efficiently. The menu was varied with traditional Sunday lunch an option for consideration. Our party 3 enjoyed starters a main course which was presented well and delicious- we could not go to Cartmel without one of us having sticky toffee pudding, which didn’t disappoint. There is country modern casual charm to the cavendish arms which was great. Staff were friendly, responsive and very busy working the tables.

   We went as a couple for Sunday lunch on Mother's Day. We arrived early and luckily the table was available. The roast dinners arrived very promptly and were ample and beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely visit again.

   Eaten here many times and the food is always exceptional. I eat a pescatarian diet and there is plenty of choice. Service very professional, atmosphere relaxed but well managed.

   As ever another very satisfying lunch. We came just for the day with friends as we had recently stayed in January for a few days. Our friends had not tried the cavendish arms for food until day. We think we've gain an extra two more converts. We had steak & ale pie and the cavendish beef burger times two. I have honestly never been disappointed with the place thus far. I just forgot to use my new loyalty card with paying the bill. Fantastic place if you're looking for quality grub in a relaxed setting.

    The best meal my partner and I have had in a long time. The sea bass was beautiful and the local beers were great too.
