For many years, William had wanted to open his own restaurant & finally he has. "The Cart Shed".

Showcasing the best of local and seasonal food, much of which will have been produced on the family farm, but we aim not to travel more than 10 miles for any of our ingredients (except for the odd exotic like lemons for your G&T).

We have rejuvenated the horticultural side of the farm. Along with poultry, quail and squab pigeons the farm is providing much of the food served in the restaurant.

William & his friends will also be out with their guns & fishing rods to provide a little wild meat for the table such as venison, partridge, trout not to mention the humble wood pigeon and rabbit.

After a couple of years of interruption caused by COVID & life things are now back to normal with a new team & a newly refurbished restaurant.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Third visit to The Cart Shed with friends this time and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to take more friends and family to eat here!

It was our first time at the cart shed but will definitely be back again. The food was 1st class and the service from Millie our waitress was fantastic! Totally recommend this place 100%

I had an amazing birthday celebration. We took over the whole restaurant and William was a fabulous host. Food was delicious

Food was absolutely AMAZING!! We shared burrata/tomato/ spring onion salad ..a taste sensation! My ribeye was prob BEST steak I’ve ever eaten and owner/chef made everyone feel welcome!! online menu and pricing very different to reality, perhaps good to offer bread/olives while everyone waits for food to be cooked as we weren’t aware that chef would cook everyone’s orders at the same time ( we were one of 3 tables) Would highly recommend this unique and delectable experience..a local treasure!
