   We were two career servers taking our teens out to dinner. When we arrived, I went to the host stand and checked in with the blonde hostess, who could not have appeared more miserable. I walked up, said “good evening, we have a reservation for four under blank name,” and she looked up at me without a smile, looked down, said nothing, and printed a chit and handed it to someone and said nothing. Everything started out fine at our table until all four of our waters were empty and never refilled. Our server was nowhere in sight. One of our girls did not like her shrimp risotto dish and we ordered a mac & cheese for her, which took over 20 minutes to arrive. Literally. Our server forgot to ring it in and when we reminded her, she did not show up to the table or in the area to give us any updates. When she finally arrived, she dropped the mac & cheese, we were partially cleared, but still missing silverware and plates. It was very disappointing.

   small pour with the wine ! I asked the manager and he said it was a 5 to 6 oz .. Was more like 4 .

   Fabulous salad, superior service by Amelie, quiet booth in the corner for birthday lunch with a friend. Highly recommend.

   Our soup was warm not hot so I couldn’t give it a perfect score. I was surprised not to be able to switch anything from the plates we ordered. Service was great. Waitress was attentive. I am not one to complain so that is why we didn’t say anything about the soup. I also didn’t like my second drink. . We were all full from dinner so didn’t order dessert.

   The food was good, as were the cocktails. However… Never has a restaurant ever charged me a 3.5% surcharge to use my credit card for payment. Never. Gas stations, yes, but not a restaurant. This is just one more way that restaurants and businesses are trying to milk their customers. Who pays with cash nowadays? No one. Credit cards are part of doing business and restaurants need to suck it up and understand this. Most do, but not The Cage.

   Had a reservation but weren’t seated for several minutes then had to track someone down after we weren’t greeted for another 20 minutes. Hostess came over and said our server was tied up and brought us water and soda. More smooth once waitress finally came over. Food was delicious as always.

   First time customer. Great menu and service! The place was packed so it was pretty noisy. Menu had a ton of great options. Will be back.

    This place is a jewel in the suburbs. The details of rustic floral aesthetics were very intentional for the customer. We sat inside the actual cage which was pretty cool and the hostess was very accommodating with our request. The down side: we had a 8pm reservation and the restaurant was very busy which resulted in us waiting on our food for a long time however our waitress was very charming and understanding of the time she expedited the order to our request. The cocktail drinks are really eye pleasing good well balance taste and strong, no shortage on that. The food was really amazing! I had the crusted salmon and my date had the shrimp ravioli. All very delicious. I give this place a B+, the only reason why they don’t get a A+ is because we had to wait on our food for a long time. In conclusion we will be back for another great experience. I definitely recommend this place. 👍🏽
