The Bucks Arms is a traditional 17th century pub and former coaching Inn located next to the Blickling Estate. Serving many real ales and great food, we are also dog-friendly with a large garden.

Situated just a mile outside the town of Aylsham The Bucks offers a traditional English pub feel, with picturesque surroundings and plenty of history - while being within easy reach of other amenities and attractions.

Excellent Food - With our team of chefs running the kitchen, you can expect delicious home-cooked food beautifully presented and packed with flavour.

Quality Drinks - We are proud to be a Cask Marque recognised pub and have a great selection of real ales including at least 2 seasonal guest beers.

Wines are served by the glass or the bottle from an exciting and changing wine list.

Such excellent service and great food - They had a power cut due to the electricity cables been brought down from storm Bert but the management and the staff carried on regardless as best they could 10 out of 10 for service

Been at the Bucks many times in the past for evening meals, first time for a lunch time Sunday Carvery, and it was excellent. The beef and vegetables were cooked to perfection. We will definitely be going again soon .

Received a warm welcome and quickly got seated. Immediately removed extra water glasses but proceeded not to ask us whether we would like water. Prawn starter was good not sure about the crayfish popcorn a bit tasteless and so was the calamari which the wife had. The pork rib was really good, had a chilli that was so hot and I needed water and the wife had the steak and enjoyed. Overall enjoyable and the feedback is if you’re having water glasses on the table then offer water, when drinks are ordered whilst food being served please bring them in a timely manner, we waited awhile. One big remember is not to have starters as well as mains as both are big portions. My advice, slim down the portion size by at least a quarter, you’ll make more money.

Friendly, busy pub restaurant. Efficient staff and very good food. Always seems popular so worth booking a table in advance, even at lunchtime. Proximity to Blickling Hall means lots of people visiting the National Trust estate for walks, culture etc. use the Bucks Arms for refreshment. Excellent walking (dog-friendly) in the Blickling Estate but also numerous good cycle routes around the area. Highly recommended.

Lovely meal after a long walk at Blickling Hall. Warm and welcoming with our 4 dogs . The food was delicious, our party had fish and chips, the plaice schnitzel and sausage and mash. They were all served piping hot and very generous portions.

Such a nice greeting as we walked into The Buck! We have been many times, though it gets rather busy in summer and we find it’s best to book to be sure of getting a table, especially at the weekend. The food was delicious and presented well. Lots of choices from sandwiches to a full lunchtime menu. We didn’t manage to get to dessert as we enjoyed our main course so much. A really relaxing lunch. We had a very nice meal, and it was a very generous amount and well-cooked. To be honest there was almost too much, and even I could not finish everything on my plate (a very rare occurrence!). Maybe reduce the price a little, and reduce wastage? But generally very good, the ambience is great and the staff attentive on a very busy day. Thank you.
