This was my second visit… the first was for my birthday earlier this year. This time I dined with family who was eager to dine here based on word of mouth. Compared to my last visit, things have gone downhill slightly. Last time our server was very attentive. This time our server was very nice but he was tending to the busy bar area as well as serving our table which led to delays from the moment we walked in. It took 25 minutes to get our drinks and order food and I was concerned that we would not have enough time to eat given the 90 minute time limit. 30 minutes after ordering, the food finally came out and one of my cousins was given a sausage omelette instead of a crab omelette, causing more delays. Both the manager and our server sincerely apologized, which we appreciated, but this left us only 30 minutes to eat. I got the Seafood Grits and I specifically remember huge chunks of seafood and lobster on my last visit, but this time the portion seemed smaller, the shrimp were cut into tiny pieces and I barely had any lobster. The Cajun cream sauce was also runny as were the grits. However, the flavor was still 10/10 and the staff brought me out a side of thicker grits for no charge. Overall, everything tasted very good once it was finally served. Everyone enjoyed their omelettes, and though another cousin found her pancakes to be a bit thick, my sisters and I thought they were delicious and fluffy. It took forever for us to get boxes and our check, but fortunately no one hounded us about the 90 minutes because we certainly went over. The only other gripe I have is the 3% charge for credit cards. I dislike when restaurants pass off the cost of doing business to their customers. Initially we were going to pay with cash and one credit card, but when we asked for the fee to be adjusted, they could not do it. We decided to pay all cash and leave the decision up to the server whether or not he wanted to remove the credit card charge and take the additional tip.

Let me preface my review by saying, my husband enjoyed the food because he’s Caribbean and likes oxtails. He had the oxtails with fried rice, and I had the oxtails and grits. The food was just ok, for me. The fried wings had an amazing sauce but was a little undercooked for me. When I see red at the bone of chicken, it’s undercooked, which you won’t know until you bite into it. We also ordered the deviled eggs, which was just deviled eggs with a shrimp on top, nothing too crazy, kind of expensive for what you get, so there’s that. My oxtails and grits, whew, it was good except, it was super super salty. Were it not for the extra salty taste, I’d say these were perfect. My husband cooks me oxtails all the time, so I kind of know how it should taste. Now, for the service and atmosphere. I loved the atmosphere. They greet you right a way. When you are escorted to your table they give you just the right amount of time before coming over to ask you for your drink and appetizers orders. Here’s what I absolutely did not like. I did not like that as soon as we put a napkin down on the table, someone was coming to remove it. As soon as my husband picked up the last piece of chicken to eat it, they were removing the appetizer tray, to where he had no place to put the chicken bone. He was actually using his silverware laid it down for a second, the waiter came right over to pickup his silverware and napkin, and we hadn’t even had our entrees yet. My husband has identified what I’m getting ready to describe to you as “over servicing”. This insistence on keeping the table clear while people are eating is intrusive, a semi-space violation, unnerving, and a little rude to me. When I’m eating I don’t like people hovering over me, breathing on my table and food, and smelling like mothballs(the server). Having said all this, I would like to try another meal to give it another shot on a future day.

The food here was amazing! Loved everything we ate but our server wasn’t very attentive could’ve come To check on us more. We would come back!

will say, the food was decent but the service was HORRIBLE! I made a reservation for 11:30AM, I arrived at 11:30 on the dot. The table was not ready, we waited like 15-20mins to be seated. We waited an additional 15 mins to be served. Once the server took our order, she literally disappeared. She never came to see if we needed refills, updates on the status of our food. So we sat like at 11:50 so let's say she took our order and left. I had to literally get up and note that there were people that literally came here after us WAY AFTER AT THAT and got their food and LEFT. While we sat with empty drinks and everything. We didnt start eating until 1:30pm.

Overall very good BUT we were disappointed by the amount of fruit or lack there of on the chicken and waffles dish, ESPECIALLY when we saw our dining neighbors with significantly more on their order of French toast. Would also like there to be 4 egg half’s on the deviled egg appetizer. I’d go back but… Staff was very cool about our very leisurely lunch.

This was the first time we came to the restaurant for breakfast. It was delicious! My sister and I ordered the Vanilla French Toast and we both loved them an almost finished eating them. She did order some bacon and it was cooked perfectly too. Our brother ordered the Breakfast Club Sandwich and he loved his meal too! It was a great day at the Breakfast Club! We will definitely go back to eat!

The experience atmosphere was great the food was good but was brought out cold but my food and my fiancés food. Don’t like sending food back but I did.
