    Our New Year’s Eve dinner was a comedy bit without a hidden camera. The drink I ordered was out of stock, the appetizer (lobster bisque) I ordered was out of stock. Finally I hit on the prime rib, only to have the waitress come back to say they sold the last one right before my order. Someone else’s drink was delivered to our table (by a different waitress) but I wasn’t familiar with my second drink choice, so I sipped it before questioning our regular waitress (so someone else had to wait extra for their drink to be remade). The atmosphere was nice and the food was fine. They just weren’t prepared for a full restaurant I guess?!

    Love the vibe at this restaurant. We had The Brass Onion Dip & Southern Biscuit Sliders were really good! Two of us had the Braised Beef Short Rib & two had the Fried Chicken. Both amazing! Fries are to die for. The cobbler was really good, the carrot cake, just ok.

    Looked forward to NYE reservation. Our service was nonexistent. Ordered pork chop and obedient bird. Pork chop came out without no way to cut it. Waited 20 minutes for a knife and by that time food is cold. Pork chop and chicken so dry they were inedible. Our server did not seem to be interested in fixing it, and it took another 30 minutes for her to show back for us to pay. Never had any interaction with a manager. TERRIBLE experience overall and since it was NYE at that point impossible to find dinner.

    We eat here regularly and it is usually a very good experience. This meal was on NYE and it was very busy and staff was likely overwhelmed.

    We got seated right away front staff were pleasant. Then things went down hill. Husband asked what beers were on draft waitress had no clue but went to check. Then I ordered a drink no less then 6 times only to be told they did not have the items to make it. These drinks were all off their mixed drink menu so finally ordered off the New Year’s Eve menu which the waitress did not even now existed. Since it was only the 28th then ordered lobster bisque from the same menu after she had told me only one soup of gumbo so it was a crazy thing experience. Don’t order the crab cakes though we found them to be very dry but the lobster bisque had a lot of lobster in it but could have used more cream in it with a bit more seasoning bit still delicious over all. So we will probably not be coming back often if that is the service we can expect

    Always enjoy our dining experience at The Brass Onion. Great atmosphere and the food is consistently good. Our server was very attentive.
