The food was phenomenal and the value excellent. Lovely pub and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend!

Table booked for 17:15, food had clearly been plated a lot earlier and heated up!!! Unfortunately half of our party of eight have suffered with sickness overnight.

A group of 10 with all bar one having a Sunday roast - the food was very good and good value for money. It’s a lovely bar though given our group size we were seated upstairs with no other diners… not a huge issue, but added to which a table for 10 wasn’t set (despite it being a confirmed reservation) was a little disappointing but it didn’t spoil a lovely lunch in the end.

We ordered beef roast dinners. What came out was good-ish but had more the feel of a smaller plate meal. For the price the value for money was average at most. Frozen roast vegetables is not a good look for what was once a top-level purveyor of Sunday roasts. Where is the delicious mash that used to accompany the roast? Moderately disappointed.

Stopped on a campsite called Brompton on Swale caravan park for two nights and stopped here for food on the Saturday. Food and service was outstanding and would definitely come back here again. We have been here twice now and both time have been very lovely
