                                Mains are slightly overpriced, pudding was a little disappointing, seating was too close together - I felt like the couple next to us were sitting at our table! Wine was lovely and service excellent.

                                Really, really great time at The Black Bull as always. Possibly our favourite pub in the world. Food, staff, interior, location - all stunning. We ate there 4 times over the weekend! Will be back again soon for sure.

                                False promotion: the 'top' chef and menu does NOT cook/provide on Mondays and Tuesdays. The curries were appalling. The website should clearly state not to expect quality food on these days. Misleading. Cooked by who? Expensive for dreadful food. Staff very friendly however. Big expectations after being highly recommended. We won't dare give it another go.

                                We had the Sunday roast. The food was delicious and beautifully cooked and presented. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Will definitely return when I’m in the area.

                                Food was amazing and very tasty Would recommend that the owners improve service as its was very slow and dishes ( and drinks) took a while to come out and often forgotten but to be fair they didn’t charge us for the sides which came out almost as I’d finished my mains Staff were friendly but looked tired and slightly short with their responses which is understandable if they were run off their feet It’s a lovely place but decor could be made more cosy Overall a lovely place but front of house and decor needs some improvement

                                A very good 3 course lunch. High quality food throughout and an exceptional belly pork and liver sauce starter. An extensive wine list. Aiming for a fine dining experience and largely succeeding. Fish main course could have been more generous size wise - I felt I got the amount I'd expect on the 7 course tasting menu which if it was available at lunchtimes I would gladly pursue.
