The Barn Kitchen offers a refined take on rustic American cuisine. Executive Chef Jon Butler focuses on influences from the nearby Coachella Valley, and the Barn Kitchen brings small local farms and the unique aspects of the desert to classic American favorites. We aim to create simple, uncomplicated cuisine by showcasing fresh California ingredients. We invite all of our guests to make meaningful connections and savor each experience.

Stupendous! Every course was more spectacular than the previous. PERFECT experience for New Year’s Eve 2024. I love this restaurant!

Dining in the garden at the Sparrow's Lodge is magical. It would be worth coming here just for the ambience. When you add to that the delicious food, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality, it's a perfect experience. I highly recommend The Barn Kitchen at Sparrows Lodge.

It is so quaint. It is a unique space to relax. Lunch was excellent, and the service was perfect. The outdoor area is a beautiful garden setting.

The food was fantastic: the Fresh Carrot Cavatelli Pasta was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever eaten and the freshly made Warm Chocolate Chunk Cookies were delicious. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly slow: it took over 20 minutes after we were seated before anyone returned to take our order and the restaurant was not especially busy, nor did it appear understaffed. Once we ordered everything at once, our drinks and every course took far longer than should be necessary, particularly given that all our starters were cold dishes: guacamole does not take >20 minutes to prepare, for example. The poor service, albeit friendly, left us all reluctant to return.

I dined with four friends on the serene patio. The food was great. I had a salad, my friends had sandwiches. It was delightful and very, very peaceful. A hidden gem.

A really special evening out, in one of the loveliest settings in town. We were lucky to have Desie and Abby as our servers, who were friendly and knowledgeable. The ribeye was fantastic!

We had a great time! We got a last minute reservation for 2 to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. As others have mentioned the space is magical. Abby and Desie our servers were friendly, helpful and didn’t rush us at all. The food was very good and resonably priced for having Michelin distinction. Minors under 21 are not allowed. We have 3 kids who are reasonably well behaved but given how intimate the setting was I would not have wanted to bring them anyway.
