The Bakers Arms is a relaxed, informal country pub that has been serving award winning food in the stunning Meon Valley for over 10 years. Come and enjoy our log fire in the Winter months and our sun trap terrace in the Summer. The pub is in the beautiful village of Droxford, Hampshire, which is part of The Southdowns National Park.

Food was nice for a pub, although the onion rings were overcooked and overpriced and after looking at the reviews I was expecting more if I'm honest. Also there wasn't the same menu on the night that had been advertised on the website. Not overly amused with being put on a table right next to where someone was writing the 'what's on at the Bakers Arms' board. Someone shaking spray cans isn't ideal when it's an anniversary meal ... speaking of which, there wasn't one mention of our anniversary, even though when booked on the website, it asks if it's a special occasion and having stated it was our anniversary I sort of hoped it might of been recognised as such.

Disappointed with the experience, went for lunch on Boxing Day very limited menu no starters no desserts available had I known this we would not have gone. Servers were very poor, disinterested, made us feel as if we were basically an inconvenience to them. If you don’t want to provide the service don’t open for food … it’s a shame because this used to be a really nice place to eat The food was average.

Gorgeous pub with lovely food and ambience. My only criticism was the lack of a vegetarian main option; offering a vegan main or a vegan burger is a bit lazy. The goat’s cheese tart starter (which I had as my main) was so delicious - why not offer that as a main and make it a bit bigger? Everything was delicious!

We have been many times, but this has been the first time I have been disappointed with the food, we had to send our dinner back as it was cold and normally they have a fantastic array of different vegetables , done in different ways which are literally delicious. When I asked about why they had changed from the previous roasts , they are apparently trying something different. My opinion would be don't change something that was already great, as this meal really wasn’t up to there normal standard. The service, atmosphere is always lovely and they did obviously apologise.

This is our local pub and we went for the steak special it was perfectly cooked and the Shiraz wine went down very easily. Joe the manager is top-notch with the service and there was a nice Saturday night buzz in the place we sat by the fire and roasted ourselves, it was lovely.
