Ambience in this location is amazing. We were promptly seated and then ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizers and a bottle of wine. 35 minutes later our bottle of wine showed up, another 25 minutes passed for six stuffed mushrooms. It was another 20 minutes for our entries. Food quality was ok but everything needed salt. I don't believe the food quality is on par for what is being charged for it. Especially considering the long wait for the food. It's surprising to me the food took this long as there were only maybe 12 other guests in the dining room. Also the tables are very close together, I hope you like your neighbors while dining.

It was a lovely dinner and drinks with friends. I enjoyed the Crushed Velvet cocktail, petite house salad with champagne vinaigrette, and brown butter cake. I had the ratatouille ragu, which was fine, but I will try something else next time.

Our dining experience at lunch was wonderful. Our waitress was new, which we did not mind. She’s still learning a boutique restaurant atmosphere. The food was great. We had the Brie and deviled eggs to start. All were great. I had the Ragu which was different, but I enjoyed throughly. The rest of my party had different items, all which were excellent. It’s a must go new restaurant in Frankfort!

Excellent experience at the Ashbrook Hotel restaurant The atmosphere in the beautifully restored historic building is great. All aspects of our meal were very good. Fried deviled eggs gave a unique taste to a popular southern appetizer. Beef burgundy, salmon and roasted duck entrees were all well prepared and delicious. Ashbrook offers what some would consider a limited menu, but in doing so excels at all of it. Portions are bountiful-plenty of leftovers or easy sharing. Our service was also outstanding. The chef even came to visit after the meal. Pricing is also very reasonable. Ashbrook is a great addition to Frankfort and central KY.

We had a wonderful experience at the Ashbrook. 4 ladies celebrated a birthday and we were allowed to stay several hours after lunch to play bridge. The chicken salad was delicious. They also brought us free deserts to celebrate the birthday and they were to die for!

We’ve been trying to visit more restaurants that aren’t in Lexington and I’m so glad we chose this one. It was a quick drive and an enjoyable evening. We had the fried deviled eggs, which were new and different for us. They tasted great! We both had the duck and while good, it was a really small portion for the cost and the skin wasn’t crispy at all. The blood orange sauce was amazing. We ended it with the KY brown butter cake that I’ll be thinking about for a few more days. Overall, a great anniversary dinner. Speaking of, I always find it a bummer when you take the time to note in your reservation what you’re celebrating and it’s not acknowledged at all. To be fair, I have no idea how reservations look when they are sent from OpenTable so they may not have known.

This is a nice change for once, and for Frankfort. Casual fine dining at its best. Making reservation was easy. We had a party of 4. Street parking was easy and accessible. Greeted promptly upon arrival. Cocktails were delicious. Service was great! Food was amazing. We had the duck, sirloin, chicken, and salmon. All exceeded our expectations. Desert was amazing. Coffee was presented in a French press with a cool hour glass table timer. We will definitely be back. Prices were reasonable for this restaurant and food items offered. Bathrooms were very clean and modern.
