   4 words …. King Croissant Club Sarnies. The BEST invention I’ve ever seen on a menu !! Absolutely delicious, literally so scrumptiously good. I had the Royale with Cheese, this bad boy was the cure to all my hangovers and sad days, I will forever be thinking about it. The sausage patty was so juicy and flavourful, the hash brown inside was out the gate. And then throw it all together inside a croissant bun, you just can’t go wrong. It was AMAZING My friend had the Chicken Royale and she said it was just as delicious (maybe even more? But I don’t believe her because mine couldn’t be bet) …. Will be back to give it a go!! Also guys, just the general vibe of The Apollo Arms is gorgeous, such a fun and chilled out place but also very classy - the perfect gastropub 🙌 A big thank you to Freddie who poured some marvellous drinks and was always happy to help (best service we’ve had in London)! And our waitress Estella who made us feel so welcome and looked after 🤍 The Apollo Arms = 10/10 King Croissant Club Sarnies = get these on your to do list ASAP

   Food was good but portions not very big and no greens (was a Sunday roast) As a table of 6, we were sat a high table by the bar, we would have preferred a proper table as there was a few of us and it wasnt very comfy. They were running about 30 min late and the service wasn't great - our food arrived before the wine, so we had to remind them about the bottle we ordered and extras never turned up (weren't added to the bill). Shame as a food itself was good

   I’d wanted to try this place for ages and was feeling optimistic about our Sunday lunch. The food was good but not amazing. The service was friendly but disorganised. We were served by 3 or 4 people through the meal, with multiple people asking the same questions which interrupted our conversation. We had to request water several times, we ordered a bottle of wine that took 15 mins to arrive. We were asked if we were ready to order after already ordering. 4 people asked if we wanted dessert. When we said no the 4th time, the bill and card machine arrived and we were told quite abruptly that the table needed to be cleared. Good job we didn’t order dessert! Overall I’m disappointed to say I wouldn’t return.

   The menu doesn’t have any dietary requirements marked and the selection of vegetarian dishes is very poor and they are not customisable to be vegan

   Good attentive staff, atmosphere and decor were lovely. However my oyster mushroom main was inedible as it was so salty and slimy, and a very small portion considering it was more expensive than the fish and chips or the burger and chip. Shame

   Been before and thought was fabulous. However we’d looked forward to NYE and booked in advance Food was cold, drinks came after starter was finished and service frosty/no hellos/welcome.

   Excellent Sunday roast. Potatoes could do with some improvement but the rest was very good. Great wine list and service.

   Busy December Saturday and a few times the staff seemed to be creaking under the strain but they remained charming even when a little slow and we were in no hurry. Also the Apollo Arms is quite big space so when it fills it does get loud, again a function of it being almost Christmas. Tricky to have a conversation at times but fair enough and definitely better to have too much atmosphere than too little. The food was beyond doubt excellent. Very similar in style and quality to its sister pubs, which in our view is very good indeed. Venison pie in particular was a delicious stand out.

    The pub is great, but the dining area desperately (desperately) needs some acoustic dampening. You can’t hear the other people at your table speak when there’s any more than 10 other people in the pub. Which is always. This is a bit of a social killer.
