A very enjoyable experience. We come to the Angel quite often as the food is always good and it's in a nice setting. Staff are friendly and helpful.

I was very disappointed with my visit today. The waitresses didn’t seem to know what they were doing. I’m not sure if the young girl serving us was new but I ordered a glass of pinot Grigio and she came back to tell me that they had run out! I said that a Sauvignon would be ok and she returned with a glass of rose? She also seemed confused when taking our order and asked if the roasts we wanted were for mains. 3 of us had roast beef which was extremely chewy and the gravy was like water. Also the service was very slow. I understand that on a Sunday it gets extremely busy, but you shouldn’t have to wait almost 15 minutes for a drink. Perhaps next time we won’t visit on a weekend.

Friendly and accommodating. Provided a good range of choice for our vegan friend, as well as for those of us with no dietary restrictions.

Lovely pub in a beautiful village. Parking at the back of the pub. Very Friendly and helpful staff. We had Fish & Chips. The fish was delicious, the chips were OK, but we prefer home cooked chunky ones. We enjoyed our lunch and would visit again
