El nivel de la comida es extremadamente bajo y muy caro. Pollo mal cocinado y pescado a la plancha, cada plato de $30-$40. El sitio es bonito y con pianista en directo.

Being in the Ahwahnee dining room is a wonderful experience---in spite of the current difficulties of providing food service during construction. There are some things that there is no excuse for---stale rolls in the dining room and stale croissants on sandwiches in the bar, highly variable dessert options (lemon bars and brownies every night which are good but the other two or three things go from excellent to inedible), variable service from bad to excellent, the food is never hot and varies from cold to warm. Given all of this, it is difficult to justify the price that is being charged---to a captive audience as we were as guests of the hotel for four nights.

Very bland, mediocre food. Also, most of what I got from the dinner buffet was either lukewarm or outright cold. Unfortunate, because the ambiance is phenomenal, and the dining room itself is beautiful. Staff was polite but inattentive.

Dinner buffet in the ornate, spectacular dining room: just one of those things you should do if you’re here and have a reason to splurge. The food is not memorable in any way, neither bad nor good. But with the history, the architecture, the friendly service, and the live piano music, overall it was a great experience.

The ambiance dining room is quite spectacular, finished with a talented pianist playing beautiful melodies. A worthwhile experience. Currently as other reviews mentioned, food is served buffet style while the property is undergoing renovation. The food quality is as good as any higher end buffet is, albeit with a small number of selections. We enjoyed our meal and experience very much, and are looking forward to returning when the renovations are completed

The Ahwahnee has been undergoing kitchen renovations for two years. Employees predict the new kitchen may be finished in February 2025, with staffing and training taking awhile to implement. We experienced both breakfast and dinner buffets. Both menus were adequate. We had to remind our server a couple of times about special requests (cooking prime rib a bit more, getting espresso), but service was friendly and attentive. The setting was dramatic and magnificent with the high ceilings and beams. We would like to come back once the new kitchen is up and running with well trained staff and honed menu.
