The Temaki Sushi team is thrilled to introduce a very special dining experience.
Our Head Chef, Hiroshi San, will prepare a multi-course seasonal meal, comprising the freshest seafood, meats and organic vegetables.

We will also be serving unique sake, wine & beer, imported directly from boutique Japanese growers.
Our intimate venue seats only 10 people, and you should allow 90 minutes. Authentic, elegant and friendly.

My wife and I ate at Temaki Sushi this evening, it was our first time there. The restaurant itself is small, very casual, and very comfortable. The dining concept is quite unique. The menu is seasonal and incorporates many organic ingredients from their own farm in Ferndale. Our meal was excellent, starting with a cucumber salad and Konnyaku jelly. This was followed with a gentle miso soup. The main dish was a Temaki-style, delightful assortment of meats, seafood and vegetables that were beautifully prepared and easily self-assembled on Nori sheets and rice. We followed this with a small bowl of Somen noodles in a bonito dashi broth - very clean and lovely flavour. Our meal finished with an Hojicha pudding that was delicious. One thing that really stood out to both my wife and I was the very clear sense that the staff really care about service and providing a great dining experience. The restaurant is in an excellent location in the top end of Melbourne's CBD, and public parking is right across the road. We had a lovely night, and happily recommend it.

The food was devine, chef and staff were fantastic and engaging and the atmosphere was brilliant A wonderful experience whilst enjoying delicious authentic Japanese cuisine.

For a special night out, Temaki Sushi is well worth a visit. Beautiful and exciting food, great ambience, the fact that so much of the produce is locally grown, and the bowls, plates and saki glasses being made specifically by the restaurant for the restaurant is a wonderful touch. The attentive and friendly staff add to the experience.

A fantastic Japanese gastronomic experience, in a quaint environment with the feeling of being in Japan in the heart of Melbourne, a must experience. The menu artistically crafted and presented, the staff friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, a lovely and intimate evening.

Wow - what an experience. Such a lovely venue, staff were yo warm & welcoming. They clearly take pride in their work and what they are offering from the home grown vegetables to the specially crafted plates & bowls. The food is delicious and the way it is prepared & presented is a credit to the chef. The decor and music add to the mood and overall experience. Overall a perfect spot for a special dinner.

Great date place or to catch up with a friend. If you enjoy an elevated experience this is the place to go! The food was beautiful, there is a great drinks list (get the sake) and the food tastes and looks beautiful! I can’t wait to go back!
