The theatre of food at Teatro is synonymous with a Italian marketplace. From delicious selection of Antipasti to Traditional Italian wood-fired pizza, and amazing Pasta dishes Teatro caters for all guests. Teatro is my favourite Melbourne restaurant, especially pre theatre or show. When you sit at the counter you can see your dinner cooked in front of you. The service is excellent, attentive and not intrusive. The menu is not too big so they serve the food they know they do well.

Lunch after a concert at Hamer Hall and perfect weather to sit outside...a beautiful ambiance indeed. I had a pasta....great sauce but not spectacular. My friend had a combination of eggplant and arrancini and she was very happy too. Sweets were to die for especially the Tiramisu. Very good coffee too. Will return.

Excellent restaurant that is our go to eating place in Southbank. Food always great and staff very friendly and helpful. Will continue to book Teatro for a great all round experience.

I’ve been here once before and quite enjoyed it so thought I’d take another friend here. Their menu was much smaller tonight and weren’t serving pizzas for some reason so we had to pick something else from the menu which was rather limited. Our waiter was hovering for an uncomfortable amount of time so we felt forced to order our mains and I’ve got to say, I was less than impressed with what I received. I ordered the pumpkin ravioli with prawns which was $44 and the flavours did not only clash but the pasta was bland and did not taste freshly made. This restaurant is definitely aimed at tourists who will pay a high price for mediocre food, just to eat with a view of the Yarra. I’m more than disappointed this time and won’t be coming here again.
