Tavern House is the creation of restaurateurs David Wilhelm and Gregg Solomon who have developed numerous Orange County restaurants over the past 25 years, including Kachina, Bistro 201, Barbacoa, Chat Noir, Diva, Sorrento Grille and French 75. The menu reflects a collection of Chef Wilhelm's popular signature seafood and comfort food dishes. A large centrally located bar drives a vibrant night time scene in what is arguably one of the best view locations in Newport Harbor. Tavern House has a beautiful 50 seat private room for banquets with full views of the harbor and a warm central fireplace.

Brought our family for Thanksgiving dinner. Everything was terrific, service , good , ambiance. We will be back.

Went for Thanksgiving dinner and they ran out of both Sea Bass and Salmon. The rest of the entree’s were fair.

Kristian, with a K, was an amazing server. He was attentive and made sure we were happy at every step. The food was delicious and enough for 2 meals. Definitely a great deal and choice for Thanksgiving dinner. Would recommend booking earlier if you want fish as they had run out by 6pm. We had the prime rib which was superb.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Tavern House and it was excellent in every way. Kind greeters, we were seated on time, Georgina was our server and was friendly and efficient, and the GM Kayli was present and checked in on all the diners. Fabulous food and a most beautiful water and sunset view. Our third year celebrating Thanksgiving at Tavern House!

THANKSGIVING :) We were honored our request to sit by a window - beautiful few! Our server, Georgina, was fantastic. She was very pleasant /friendly and attentive while letting us enjoy at our own pace instead of pushing us through. STARTERS; one salad, one bisque, one chowder - all very good We would have liked an option to order a shared appetizer as well like the yummy Dijon shrimp A side plate would have been great when the rolls came out, so we had somewhere to put them ENTREES: Two of us had turkey and one prime rib - we all enjoyed our food! The flavors on everything were fantastic! Plates were definitely plentiful - we took some home. We would have liked a little more potato / stuffing and less Brussel sprouts / squash - just a personal preference DESSERTS: cheesecake & chocolate - all very very good!!!! Overall great service, great food, great atmosphere and great experience.

Food was great as usual. Our server was Nori who is so professional and really understands how to do her job! She thinks ahead and you never have to ask for refills as she is on top of it. She is honest and makes great recommendations to the menu. We ask for her all the time,

Food has never been disappointing. Ahi sandwich as well as the beef dip and Caesar salad are amazing and huge so sharing is good. Definitely recommend for lunch or dinner.
