Si bien el restaurant no quedaba cerca de nuestro alojamiento, a 20 minutos en auto desde el downtown de Boone, valió la pena el viaje, ya que el trayecto entre las montañas tiene muy bonitas vistas. Y la panorámica desde el restaurant espectacular! y lo mismo con el precio, si bien es un poco caro, la comida y la atención son excelentes!

Had a fabulous meal in main dining room with gorgeous view of Blue Ridge mountains. The Trout was excellent with the most tasty Yukon mashed potatoes, just amazing. The flatiron steak cooked to perfection. Excellent Caesar salad with shaved fresh Parmesan. Perhaps the best Caesar ever. Desert of Texas pecan pie outstanding! Only complaint we were there on a Thursday night and the live music too load for the inside dining room. Otherwise a perfect experience and a must do when in Boone, Blowing rock area.

We went for an anniversary dinner. Disappointed in that we were sat next be to a table of 8 women who were very loud. They were only exceeded by the larger table of 10 drunken sods who were dressed in tennis and golf clothes. One guy didn't even bother removing his golf hat. So much for business casual. Also there was a wedding that head a live band, who were also very loud. So much for a romantic dinner looking out at the sunset over the mountains. We had a view of the parking lot, which is sadly lacking in parking spots.

We celebrated our 20th Anniversary. Food and service was excellent. Loved the atmosphere and even made new friends with couple at adjoining table. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setting on the patio with mountain backdrop. Agree with other reviewers that sunglasses (and sunscreen/visor if so inclined) were needed until the sun dropped behind a cloud. Service quite good but food mediocre with a lot of reliance of heavy sauces and starchy sides for many of the entrees (salad course was great though). Still a very pleasant experience overall and would go again altho maybe just for cocktails and appetizers.

Excellent food, but the experience was marred by a very long wait. We had a reservation for 8 pm, arrived 15 minutes late, but then had to wait for quite some time, but not just to get seated: also to get a waiter, then for the waiter to take our order, etc. In fact, I tried to get the waiter to take our order when he brought the drinks, but he ran away as if not wanting to take the order at that time. Perhaps the kitchen was overworked; there was a noisy wedding going on at the same time, and maybe they couldn't handle that many orders (but then they should just have not taken our reservation). We finally left the restaurant (with 2 grandchildren) at close to 11 pm! The other issue that was not up to par was the bartender. At a high-end restaurant, I expect a knowledgeable bartender. This one did not know what a perfect Manhattan was, and it came with a cherry instead of the requested twist (the latter may have been the waiter's fault). Had it not been for the extreme slowness of service and the poor bartending, it would have been a superb evening. Moral of the story: don't come here on an evening when a wedding is in process.

The food was good. The servers were very nice. However, it took a long time to get our dinner. Maybe something was going on somewhere else on the premises, that preoccupied the kitchen staff, but by the time our food arrived we were just about ready to leave. Also, the sun coming in the large windows, was blinding at times. They need to have shades at certain times of the day and they, also, need to clean the windows more often.

If you enjoy extremely SLOW dining, from check in to check out, this is for you. We waited in the foyer for 10 min. until we were shown to our table. Sat and sat until a server asked if anyone had talked to us. We ordered two apps and one entree and this average dining experience took 2 hrs. from start to finish. Dinner music was a band with vocalist, not exactly conducive to conversation. The view is great, so go for a drink and skip dinner!
