Sweet Lula’s Restaurant is a BYOB avant-garde unique Brunch and Dinner romantic cosy dining experience in Pitman, New Jersey. We won an award for our famous sweet potato sausage corn chowder. We are close to Rowan University.
We are family owned and operated by executive chef Anthony Asbury (a very famous Puppeteer) he has an Emmy displayed in the restaurant and has worked with Jim Henson and Steven Spielberg. We also play movies which we project onto a large screen which is very unique ! We are a free-flowing scratch kitchen plus veggie, vegan, and gluten-free friendly. Keep your eyes out for Chef Anthony's British wife, Lula (a previous famous pop star and Model in the 80s), she may be singing a few songs on Friday and Saturday nights. We open Thursday to Sunday for Dinner 5pm-9pm and Brunch Saturdays and Sundays 10am-3pm. Come try our food and see what everyone is talking about. Steak and Seafood is our speciality. They wouldn’t seat me till my husband parked the car, even though I had reservations. It was Valentine’s Day so the menu was limited. After ordering, my husband didn’t get his salad for 1 hour. Even after asking several times. Food came about 20 minutes after. Other people canceled orders and walked out. So sad because the food was good.

Sweet Lula's never disappoints! We have been dining there on special occasions over the years. Service is excellent and the food is consistently delicious.

Sweet Lula’s is always a perfect place for us to have dinner! Lula is always welcomes us like family! Rosie also is fantastic as our server and longtime friend! There’s no other place we’d rather be!

There was no heat on and it was 28 degrees outside. Waitress said she informed the owner but no one ever showed up to turn it on. We ate with our coats on.

The food was okay. The coffee was cold. Packed in to a small space. Service was slow, maybe due to volume or short staffed.
