The pub is lovely, the car park is ridiculously small but not alot they can do about that I suppose . Love the refurb looks great and love that it's dog friendly. The service was great and our waiter was a good laugh. My only grumble is the food is fairly average. I ordered the Kyiv which tasted like just breaded chicken, zero flavour from the filling if they actually was any, came with creamed leeks which were awful and my gf ordered the burger which wasn't anything special considering the price. All in all it was ok but I probably won't be rushing back.

Dear Scott, Thank you for your feedback, and for your kind words about the refurb and service, we are glad you enjoyed those aspects of your visit. About the carpark, unfortunately, as you rightly mentioned, due to our building being a 16th century listed build, there are limited options available for improvement in that regard. However, we are disappointed to hear that the food did not meet your expectations. Our Burger, in particular, is one of our most popular dishes, and we have received positive feedback since reopening. That said, we do recognise that tastes vary, and we are sorry that it wasn't to your liking. We always strive to offer a high standard, and we will certainly review your comments with the team. Excellent food and excellent service, couldn’t fault and will definitely be going back. Went for a business lunch but would also be happy to take the family as lovely atmosphere whatever the occasion.

This was the first time we had been to The Swan since the refurb, it really is lovely. However having checked the menu before arriving, the sandwiches we had chosen, were not available. Value for money - not sure it's that great. £5 for a dish of chips, whilst delicious were expensive. Plus 2 of the desserts were not available either. It was a Monday lunchtime, so not as though it was a busy Friday night.

Newly-refurbished, The Swan is looking fabulous, although seems to have lost some of its original character. Music was loud and the food was well- presented, but not spectacular for the price. Good place for drinks with an awesome view of the river!

Wine was served with table water and olives ordered as a pre-meal nibble, although they arrived as the main roast dinners were served! Very thin gravy, roast meat with little flavour, tasteless cabbage, 3 small potatoes, no parsnips and served lukewarm. The very large Yorkshire pudding was served cold. sticky toffee pudding was ordered as dessert with sauce and ice cream. Not enough sauce. Overall for 2 glasses of wine, a dish of olives, 2 roast dinners and 2 desserts for £95 was definitely NOT worth it. Would I visit again! Absolutely not……..
