Like Japan, Peru has a millennia-old history. They are two great, ancient civilizations with two major culinary traditions. These traditions complemented one another, and neither of the two sides absorbed the other to the point where one disappeared. SusherÍa menu is the result of this great union and the experience/vision of Mauricio Fraga-Rosenfeld and his dedicated culinary team lead by Peruvian Executive Chef Javier Angeles-Beron.

About the experience -
Susheria is a unique casual-glam restaurant concept where you will enjoy Izakaya, a Japanese style of service. The Japanese version of tapas, dishes will be served when ready. Izayaka is a perfect moment to enjoy life, laughter and great conversations while sharing food and drinks.

Fui a celebrar ahi mi cumpleaños. Hice una reserva por opentable (puse mi tarjeta de credito como garantia). Me enviaron un mensaje para que confirmara la reservacion y puse que si. Indique el numero 1. me respondieron el mensaje diciendo que "perfecto, todo estaba confirmado." Llego al lugar y me dicen que la mesa no estaba llista porque me llamaron y nunca confirme. por que necesitariamos tantas confirmaciones? No respondi porque estaba trabajando pero yo contaba con mi reservacion. Solo es un comentario que si la gente ya confirmo es porque va a ir

el mesero al principio no queria sentarnos afuera, y la razon fue que era su decision, asi que ibamos a cambiar de lugar, ya que habian mesas afueras acomodadas no veiamos la razon del porque no podiamos sentarnos afuera, al ver que nos ibamos a ir, nos acomodo afuera finalmente. la comida rica buen sabor, porciones pequeñas vs precio.

LOS PRIMEROS PLATOS QUE ORDENAMOS , LLEGARON EN UN TIEMPO PRUDENTE. LUEGO CUANDO DECIDIMOS ORDENAR ALGO MAS, EL TIEMPO DE ESPERA FUE EXAGERADO. AL FINAL SOLO ESTABAMOS ESPERANDO QUE NOS DIJERAN SI REALMENTE VENIA O NO EL PLATO , PARA ORDENAR LA CUENTA.

I had the chicken gyoza & the sebastian roll. Solid food, well made ingredients. However, we arrived at 4 when they opened which was also during happy hour & they would not allow us to sit at the bar & participate in happy hour even though the restaurant was empty. They weren’t rude about it all but they didn’t have a reason why we couldn’t (the bartender suggested i “just enjoy the experience of sitting at the table” which seemed a little condescending but i didnt take it personally) and the drinks and food were twice the amount we would have paid at the bar. I suggest coming for the bar during happy hour & then asking for a table after you have ordered and paid for your drinks OR reserve a table in advance but arrive early to enjoy the happy hour specials and save a few bucks!

Loved the spicy edamame, crispy tuna squares, chicken gyoza, churassco roll, and Georgetown roll. Drinks were also tasty, pricey but everything is right now. Server was very nice and recommended good choices.

We had a great experience. Good and the drinks were good. The only thing that wasn't good was the service of the server. She was rude and lacked communication in a lot of things throughout the night. I would come back, but not to get serviced by the server Gabriella.

The Wednesday evenings with the DJs and Saxophone player were great. The sushi options are definitely creative and the drinks were excellent. The only con we had is there was a brown sauce that was put on all the various sushi options which I wish was explained on the menu.
