In a forgotten vault of the historic property, they discovered a cache of leather-bound books, filled with scribbled notes and illustrations whose meaning was impossible to discern. One look at the books and I knew at once what they had found: lost volumes of the Compendium Bibendium. Of course, we now know that the Compendium Bibendium is the handwritten history of the SUNKEN HARBOR CLUB, the mysterious organization founded centuries ago whose members scoured the globe in search of good things to drink. The Compendium is written in secret code, but years of amateur cryptography have yielded thrilling results: the pages of the compendium are filled with glimpses of forgotten worlds, tales of wild adventure and recipes for some of the most delicious drinks ever created. If the anonymous authors of the Compendium are to be believed, the SUNKEN HARBOR CLUB has existed for hundreds of years, and its members hail from every corner of the earth. Their thirst for knowledge of secret, mixological arts was unquenchable, as reflected in their motto Imus ad Infima — we go the deepest, or we go to the bottommost depths. As our code-breaking work progresses, more of the Club’s history in Bermuda will be revealed. IN SUMMER 2021, the owners of Cambridge Beaches asked me to help them solve a mystery. In a forgotten vault of the historic property, they discovered a cache of leather-bound books, filled with scribbled notes and illustrations whose meaning was impossible to discern. One look at the books and I knew at once what they had found: lost volumes of the Compendium Bibendium. Of course, we now know that the Compendium Bibendium is the handwritten history of the SUNKEN HARBOR CLUB, the mysterious organization founded centuries ago whose members scoured the globe in search of good things to drink. The Compendium is written in secret code, but years of amateur cryptography have yielded thrilling results: the pages of the compendium are filled with glimpses of forgotten worlds, tales of wild adventure and recipes for some of the most delicious drinks ever created. If the anonymous authors of the Compendium are to be believed, the SUNKEN HARBOR CLUB has existed for hundreds of years, and its members hail from every corner of the earth. Their thirst for knowledge of secret, mixological arts was unquenchable, as reflected in their motto Imus ad Infima — we go the deepest, or we go to the bottommost depths. As our code-breaking work progresses, more of the Club’s history in Bermuda will be revealed. We have dined all over the island... Waterlot, Rosedon, Intrepid, Harry's, Pompano, Thyme, etc. and we know everyone has their favourites, but hands down, the Sunken Harbour has been our best foodie experience in Bermuda. Outstanding. The service is second to none — not overbearing and wonderful to have staff excited about the food. And... did I mention, it's all about the food!??? Divine flavours and combinations. Someone in the kitchen is a genius. Thank you!

This was our first visit to the sunken harbour and it won’t be our last.
Fantastic food, great service from the welcome to the end it was amazing. Staff were attentive but not in your face and they always had a smile for you.
We have tried a few restaurants during restaurant week and this was by far the best tasting and value for money.
Shall be going there again soon

I’m not even going to bring price into this as almost everything in Bermuda is eye popping or jaw dropping. But from a value perspective this is a fantastic restaurant. Aaron the bartender is a mixologist supreme and very entertaining as you have your pre dinner cocktail.
We ate here the first two nights and enjoyed the restaurant week prix fixe menu immensely. At $69 it includes appetizer, entree and dessert. The options were all delicious.
Wine options are plentiful and can run from adorable to well, jaw dropping so that’s up to you.
And as expected, impeccable service and hospitality

One of our favourite restaurants on the island but this time the ball was dropped. One starter was partially frozen, the steak main had no flavour and tasted like it had been defrosted. The service was poor not just for us but we watched new arrivals sit for twenty minutes without being approached by staff. No wine/cocktail menu on arrival and asked if we were ready to order food, even before seeing a drinks list. Really poor effort, just glad it’s the off season so the damage is limited.

Mixed experience here on Jan 1. One outstanding dish, the scallop appetizer, but the ‘mushroom crusted beef filet with a creamy pepper sauce’ was disappointing with no mushroom crust and a weird sauce, not at all creamy. Too many substitutions and poor communication from the wait staff. Won’t rush back.

The food was superb. The flavours, menu choices and textures blended together to create a melody of perfectly balanced flavour for the palate. Together with a beautiful setting and good service, Sunken Harbour provided the perfect celebratory setting for my husband and I.
