Los socios y chefs Jeff Mahin y Francis Brennan, de la empresa Lettuce Entertain You, traen su famoso concepto de estilo californiano, el Summer House Santa Monica, a Pike & Rose, en North Bethesda, Maryland. El Summer House ofrece un ambiente relajado y agradable que recuerda al Estado Dorado y una decoración inspirada en una casa de playa. Bring your little chefs to Summer House for Kids Pizza Making! Every Monday to Thursday from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, kids 12 and under can craft their own pizzas at the official pizza counter with our chefs for $7.95 plus tax (gratuity not included). Or opt for our tableside option, and have all the ingredients delivered to your table for the whole family to get in on the fun! Kids will wash their hands, use the flour to form the dough, spread their choice of red or white sauce, and build their zah with cheese and toppings of their choice. Once our team pops it in the oven, the pizza will be delivered back to your family’s table for an a-dough-able dinner. Please note, Kids Pizza Making is not offered during the weekend (Friday to Sunday).

We enjoyed a 3 hour birthday luncheon for party of 6 on a very rainy weekday. The service was friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. We had appetizers, entrees, and several desserts. We made the meal family style and the staff was very accommodating bringing extra plates and silverware. The food was excellent. The Baby back ribs were a standout among the entrees as well as the Cobb Salad. All the appetizer and desserts were delicious. Although, it is Xmas season, not a standout Xmas ambiance, however it still lovely California, airy feel. We’ve loved Summer House since their opening several years ago, they have been consistent with high quality food and well trained staff. Always solid choice in Pike & Rose neighborhood.

The restaurant is attractive and comfortable. I ordered the special bay scallop dish. I should have known there bay scallops were small, which I don’t like, my mistake. But the $46 price for that dish is not commensurate with the value of the food. Also the beef pairing was odd with the scallops. I didn’t like it. The jalapeño corn bread was great. Others like their fried chicken and tacos. The restaurant is attractive and comfortable.

The food was good as it always is. They kindly turned down the music which was way too loud for people to be able to converse at lunch. The major drawback was that it was freezing. I never took off my coat. And I saw many others with their coats on as well.

We’ve tried this restaurant twice and honestly, I think we are done. The interior is lovely. The food is good but service is slow and not personal. The prices are too high. For many items(salad, pasta, etc.) you have to pay extra for any type of protein. When a pasta or salad is $20 it should come with protein.

I absolutely love the server we had. She was phenomenal in every way. She also for the first time in close To 40 visits she told me about the rewards Program. Her name started with S and she wore glasses. She was incredible. I will be there Saturday for my daughter’s birthday with a bigger party. I hope I get her again. Good was great and ambiance amazing as Usual.

Parking was very convenient / reservation right on time / service was exemplary / food was out of this world delicious/ menu was extensive and prices were very reasonable. Wished we lived in pike’n rose so we would dine there frequently. 11 pig if 10 😋😋😋
