Sudova is a handsome setting for some excellent Eastern European food (one of my favorite cuisines). We enjoyed every one of the half dozen or so dishes we had. The Rye Varenyky and Khachapuri are wonderful. It was a busy Friday night, and the place was loud (or "energetic" as it says in the review form--give me a break!), but I'm an old guy who wears hearing aids, so that's often my complaint. Speaking of old, our server, who was otherwise attentive and charming, made quite a faux pas. When my partner asked for decaf, she replied that they didn't have any because they usually have a younger crowd. As in, you know, not you old people. Excuse me? Oh well, yet another micro-aggression, as those young people say these days. Nevertheless, we will be back.

Such an incredible experience all around! Fantastic and creative food. Fun and flavorful cocktails. The staff and service was also top notch.

This is my second time back and it was equally as delicious for a table 5 we had seven dishes in small plates. We had the farmers cheese, the bean dish and the stuffed cabbage all so flavorful we try the two dumplings and we were loving every bite. We enjoyed The risotto, the salmon and the short rib stroganoff as well. Literally every bite we were ooohing and ahhhing.

After a bit of an initial lengthy wait for our drinks, the evening was delightful. Waitress very helpful re managing the menu, food and beverages excellent, and ambiance enjoyable.

This was our first visit, and it was wonderful, if a bit dark! We needed our flashlight to read the menu. We were not familiar with Ukranian dishes. The server described each of the dishes and wines; she was spot on. We had the borscht which had the right amount of beef and sweet beets with a hint of sauerkraut which was also in the rye perogies. The bit of apple butter with the perogies was a lovely bit of sweetness. The Kvasolya (beans with feta) was flavorful but some of the beans were a bit undercooked. The tomato sauce on the cabbage rolls was neither sweet or acidic which in my opinion is hard to find in Cincinnati. All the dishes were large enough that we had leftovers. We splurged on the cake, Medovik, a layer cake with very light apple-cardamon cream between the layers.

Sudova was delicious! We tried a variety of dishes and loved every single one. The cocktails were delightful and service was excellent.

Go here to try something different and delicious. We tried two small plates and one large plate, and all were good. Server was helpful and friendly. Really nice decor/atmosphere, especially at the bar. Don’t be afraid to make a reserve a seat there.

What a treat! Fresh takes on traditional Eastern European foods, both known and new. The dishes were well prepared, including a tomato sauce on the cabbage rolls that I’m still thinking about! We ate at the bar and our bartender was phenomenal, knowledgeable about the food and the drinks.

The decor was tasteful and well done, and the food was good overall. However, the coursed format isn’t my favorite way to enjoy a meal, and the experience felt rushed—dishes came out quickly, and we received the bill before we were even finished. Our table was at the very back in the noisiest area, which was frustrating, especially since I had requested a better table in my reservation. While the meal was enjoyable in parts, the overall execution felt a bit underwhelming.
