The restaurant was founded in 2023 by owner Stella Spanu, a Boulder local. Honoring her Italian heritage and embracing her passion for food and hospitality, Spanu’s philosophy is to have a dining experience that stimulates all senses by incorporating visual art, design, music, premier service, comfortable seating and fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. The space, an Art Deco inspiration, was conceptualized and built by architect Miguel Quismondo.

Stella's is showcasing a world-class menu, highlighting traditions from all over Italy, with house-made pastas with imported ingredients directly from Italy, and locally sourced ingredients from Colorado farms. The menu is accompanied by an extensive selection of Italian wines and specialty cocktails.

Friday and Saturday, after dinner service, the space will transform into a lounge with a dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound system, while guests are encouraged to enjoy beverages, the dance floor, and a wide variety of music.

Join us in our beautifully intimate space for a carefully curated 4-course experience by Executive Chef Piersimone D'Anna, sommelier-selected wine pairings, and live music from one of our resident artists. Experience STELLA'S at its finest! *PLEASE NOTE* Reservations will be honored for up to 2.5hrs including at the bar and high-tops. Any cancellations within 72hrs are subject to Stella's Cucina's cancellation/no show fee of $25/person. Due to the nature of our menu, we cannot accommodate all dietary restrictions. One of the best restaurants in Boulder so far that we’ve tried. Service was so good. Food was top notch and we are super picky. Carpaccio was one of the best bites ever. Fantastic!

Stella’s has great cuisine and ambiance. Though the value isn’t always there. Portions are high quality but can be a bit small especially for prix fixe menu.

A real delight in all respects! Acoustics are well-controlled so one can hear both music and conversation. I had the truffle starter with egg yolk in Parmesan, really excellent and not too heavy. Focaccia was a great way to scoop up the egg. Venison medallions for the main were also terrific. The Sommelier recommended wine was good but despite being 2012 to a while to open up. Decanting helped. Didn’t stay for dessert due to leftovers of same at home.

Great vibe, unexpected in Boulder. Interesting cocktails and some of the best pasta I've had. Professional service, with a server in training shadowing our server. They care about this. Comfortable curved booth made it feel intimate. This is a great special occasion (expensive) restaurant, and maybe more often to come for a drink and appetizer at the bar.
