Stefano's Diner is owned by Michelin recommended Gia Restaurant.
Our plant based menu includes classic Italian fare: Focaccia, Mozzarella sticks, Baby Gem Salad, Arancini, Cashew Brie, Chicken Parmigiana, Buckwheat Rigatoni Bolognese, Plant based sandwiches on house made ciabatta, and the city's best plant based Smash Burger with bacon and blue cheese toppings.
Saturday and Sunday Brunch we open at 10am serving Eggs Benny, BLTs, French Toast, Matcha Lattes, sandwiches and fresh juice.
We offer 10 bar seats for walk in and 18 Dining room seats. The design is upscale with micro cemented walls and floors with a walnut and olive green banquette occupying most of the space.
Vegan wine, cocktails and mocktails available and our entire menu is available for take out.
We are open late on Fridays and Saturdays.
Maximum seating time is 1.5 hours.

The prix fixe Valentine's menu was delicious especially the butternut squash ravioli but everything was great. Service was attentive but not instrusive.

As a non-vegan the food was absolutely delicious. Wonderful flavours. Will certainly come back again soon. The ricotta was phenomenal. The flavours of all of our dishes that mimicked non-vegan items were spot on.

I can’t say enough good things about the experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was amazing. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. We tried the garlic knots yummm, the rigatoni bolognese, and sweet potato cheesecake, hands down must try. I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be back!

Particularly great service! Really tasty food - we particularly enjoyed the arancini and eggplant parm sandwich. Great beer list!

Stefano's has filled a major void in the plant-based scene here in Toronto! Nobody else is serving elevated comfort classics like this that are both vegan and Italian inspired. It feels simultaneously like you're at a cool spot on Ossington but also at your Nonna's house. Mozzarella Sticks are a MUST, the plant-based brie is the perfect combination of components (really love the taste and texture of the crostini it came with). The Smash Burger is 10/10. Also enjoyed the Aracini, Filet O Fish and Cheesecake. Sean and Kylie did an incredible job taking care of us.
