Inspired by the West Coast upbringing of its founders, STATE Food + Drink combines a love for local ingredients with a mission to create a sense of place and belonging. Four of us dined on a Tuesday night when Vietnamese dishes are on the menu. The spring rolls and mixed slaw were a big hit. Two others got the rotisserie chicken and sizzling crepe with shrimp which they enjoyed although all dishes lacked salt and none was offered. I got the shaking beef. The beef was tough and two of the pieces were inedible. They do not offer alcoholic drinks so no wine with dinner. Service was great.

Great menu with dietary considerations clearly marked. No need to go through weighty deliberations or grill the staff on how the food would be prepared. Everyone loved their meal!

Very good food in presentation and preparation. Our server was new and still getting her feet but was very sweet and attentive.

Service is excellent, ambience is comfortable but the food needs a little fine tuning. I am confident the team will adjust as they go. Diners beware, no liquor license at this time. They surrounding businesses more than made up but walking out to get a cocktail may be frowned upon by some. We found it charming…we will try breakfast next time.

The complex flavors and inventive offerings of Chefs Tu Le and Aaron Willis are why we love State. There's always a surprise on the menu (depending on the night of the week you go). There's no other restaurant like it in this area. And open on Mondays!

Outstanding Night Out. Has several vegan options for my husband. Menu items all unique, creative and delicious. Server was genuinely and attentive. Atmosphere industrial chic, although it was a bit chilly next time...next time will dress in more layers. Actually, we enjoyed having to go two doors down to a distillery for our drinks which were AMAZING. We will definitely be back soon! Congratulations to the new owners!

After visiting State on multiple occasions, I can wholeheartedly attest to its exceptional qualities.
