When we arrived we were seated in the lounge which is not what was specified in our reservation - when I questioned it the only table offered was a table right at the doors despite the dinning room being basically empty, we did not want that. Disappointing. Our food was good for the most part...Our server Jennifer, was lovely!! My husband found the calamari appetizer average, but he enjoyed my Bang Bang Shrimp and Parm Truffle Fries --- Very tasty. His main - Peppercorn Bourbon steak was cooked to his liking. I ordered the Steak and sushi - it was not what i was expecting and not my favourite. The steak was cooked perfectly, my only issue was there was too much gravy/sauce for my liking... the sushi was subpar at best - i would not recommend it... My husdand enjoyed the Cinnamon bread Pudding...I wish you had the option of a Decaf Cappuccino... would have been the perfect end to our meal We would go back, there are a lot of food choices that we would be like to try.

Food was better than expected! Good value for money. Service was very friendly and servers were attentive. Overall, great place to have dinner and drinks.

The server was attentive. We started out with tomato & bacon soup, followed by fish and chips, and a beef dip with Caesar salad and sweet potato fries. The fish and fries were crispy. The beef dip was flavourful as was the Caesar salad. No complaints, it was a good meal

On the past two occasions of visiting, the fried chicken tenders were ordered. Both times, the chicken was way over cooked, dry and hard, so I sent them back. On the delivery of the replacement chicken last evening, it was in great condition but there were no chips with it. After having sent the chicken back, the server returned with a tray of chips ‘to munch on’ as she put it. They were probably the chips that went back on the plate with the chicken and were COLD when delivered. Not tasty at all, and went uneaten. When she returned with the chicken, there were no chips. She offered to replace the cold chips with fresh ones but I declined. My husband’s meal came out fine with the first delivery so he had to go ahead and eat while it was still a good temperature. Therefore, not an overall good experience. We will need to think twice about returning, and recommending State &Main.

We went to State & Main on a Saturday night so the restaurant was moderately busy as expected. The music was a bit too loud where even the server was having difficulty hearing our orders. The service was a bit slow but our server was extremely friendly. I appreciated the non-alcoholic drink offerings. The food was delicious - everyone loved their meal.
