There were five of us for lunch on a Sunday at the Barrhaven location. The restaurant is nicely laid out, definitely a place to go if you were a sports fan and wanted to watch TV sports. They were very few people in the restaurant. Lots of staff. Overall it was okay. Given there was very few customers they sat in other party right beside us, with younger children when the entire restaurant was empty. Why? The meals for all five of us came at the same time three of five were cold. My burger had the cheese congealed on the top and the french fries were cold. They did replace the french fries. But it shouldn't have happened. They weren't that busy. The kitchen needs to learn about timing leaving something sit to go cold while you're preparing for other meals shows bad organization and flow in the kitchen. Quality of the food was good. Again they were not very busy and service was quite slow. Value for money, well they're on par with all the other restaurants but to pay $25 including tip for a cold burger and cold fries and drink water, is what it costs now..

A little slow on our server greeting us after we were seated. She made up for it by apologizing when we finally were served. Thanks Rebecca for the awesome service! Food and drinks were very good!

Service was very good. Food was more room temperature than hot which was disappointing for the cost. We had a reservation but still waiting 10 extra minutes for our table which was in the covered heated patio and drafty in the middle of winter

Nice dinner, excellent service, love the high table we had. On the downside, TVs were everywhere, you couldn’t look in a direction without huge sports channels flashing and distracting

Overall good experience! Food was great. Service was friendly and nice. Hated table in corner up against wall. Also I understand that it was a set Valentines menu but it would have been nice to exchange an entree and due to food allergies.

So far we have only ever had positive experiences at State & Main in Barrhaven. Their staff are truly awesome. Great food, fast service, and favourable noise levels the majority of the time!

Wife' Sirloin steak(medium rare) was cold and pink in the middle. After they re-fired it, the steak was chewy and tough. Mashed potatoes were also very salty and asparagus was charred but too raw. My Striploin steak was edible but chewy with lots of waste. Asparagus ditto. Best part of the meal was the fries and dill dip. Server did not charge for my wife's meal which was the only positive aspect of the dining experience. Just another roadhouse eatery.
