Stark's Steakhouse in Santa Rosa, California, is an upscale eatery that takes a modern approach to sustainable seafood and steak. The in-house dry aged meat is served a la carte and guests can also enjoy an extensive menu of international and local wine, creative cocktails and more than 60 whiskeys.

Not as good as it has been in the past. My steak wasn’t great. Took a few times asking to get butter for our baked potatoes which were ordered originally with butter but came only with sour cream. Just a disappointment considering the price we paid for two people.

Excellent service from our waiter Leo, made great suggestions, took care of our every need, and was super friendly. We were able to check my wife’s coat at the door. My only wish was that some customers would recognize that it is not proper etiquette to wear a baseball cap indoors, let alone a fine dining establishment like Starks.

Overall good. But not as happy with the meal this time. Shrimp was over cooked and so much spice that the actual flavor of the shrimp was minimal. Fillet was a bit sticky rather than melt in your mouth. And too much garlic butter on it. And garlic bread was very salty / garlicky and not enough butter. Loaded potato was perfect. Wines were decent but didn’t knock my socks off. Wine steak sauce was very good. Service was very good. Probably will not go back for a while since the price just didn’t match the quality. Will try again at some point because every now and then a place can have an off night.

Our server Riley was perfect as was the food tonight. It has been a few years since we dined at Starks and everything we ordered was better than we remembered. The calamari appetizer was crisp and piping hot and delicious. Our steaks were right up there with the best we have ever had, the sides were all excellent. We are foodies as were our dinner companions and we all left with smiles. Thank you Starks!

I had a New York strip cooked meme. Rare was perfect. The bread to die for and the calamari has to be the best I’ve ever had and to top it off the banana, chocolate pudding, Yum Yum and Yum.

Lovely birthday meal. Restaurant was a little noisy but we made it work for our group. Food was fantastic. Server had a few too many tables and didn’t get around to water refills. Server was very knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent wine and food recommendations. Will happily go here again.

Another fantastic night out at Stark’s. Found something for everyone, had a couple meat lovers along with people that mainly enjoy seafood join us and leave completely satisfied. The sides are always reliable along with that heavenly bread - we all left full and happy.
