Square Grill House Restaurant & Piano Bar in the heart of Bath.

Open for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch and afternoon drinks. Throughout the day the terrace by Abbey Square and lounge area will be perfect to relax with a drink and nibbles. As the sun sets and we get ready for dinner to serve our signature dishes with the best local produce. Our resident Pianist and DJ will begin, and cocktails will flow.

The restaurant is beautiful with venetian walls, banquettes upholstered in leather and marble feel tables.

Occasion: New years dinner Summary: The service was good, the staff was friendly. Our food came on time. The food, taste wise was really good, but lacked due to some choices that was mainly for "making the plate look good". (For example, I ordered a chocolate brownie with ice cream. There were random popcorns that didnt made sense taste wise nor visually). Portions were standart. New years menu pricing in my opinion, is little expensive for what we got but overall prices are okay. Location is great. Ambiance is okay, there were a pianist which sang. It was a little loud to have conversations within your table, but other tables seemed fine with it. Verdict: I would definitely go here, but not on a special occasion.

Waiter was rude and obnoxious. We ordered one starter and a bread basket which he found strangely weird. He kept saying it’s four rolls!..then he put the bread down and said here’s your “bread basket!”. When he left the desert menu we were talking and drinking our wine so when he came back we haven’t decided. He was extremely put out by this and made no effort to hide his true feelings. All over the meal excellent in value and quality but after he handed me the bill by almost throwing it down we had enough. It’s a shame but I think the fact that a 12% tip is automatically added means the waiters couldn’t give a toss about you.

Amazing atmosphere with first class entertainment Staff were very welcoming and attentive and made us feel extra special as they helped us celebrate our anniversary Good choice of food and reasonable priced. The pianist Tristan made the night with a song sang for my wife What a great night and a venue I would recommend for anyone
