My party of 6 arrived 10 minutes early for a 6:30 reservation and we were not seated until closer to 7:00. This should have been our first indication. The hostess was dressed very poorly for a modestly priced restaurant-jeans, white tennis shoes and oversized sweater. Remember owners that they are your first impression. Once seated the server arrived promptly to take our beverage orders however she did not return for approx 20 minutes with our drinks. Our second indication of how the night was going to go. We ordered 3 appetizers (Calamari, Salmon Stuffed Mushrooms and Shishito Peppers) all of which arrived promptly and were very good. The only positive about this restaurant. Our party ordered the following -two steaks cooked fine (med-rare) but no seasoning or flavor, same with the soup of the day-tasteless, a bone in pork chop-VERY TOUGH, not what you would expect for $28!, a salad and fish tacos and a burger, The fish tacos and the salad were the only good choices and those can be found at a lot of other restaurants at better prices for the same quality. The service was fair! Not worth your time or money.

We really enjoyed our dining experience at Square 22. The food was delicious! The French onion soup flatbread appetizer was excellent and we both had the bourbon braised short rib which was very good. The service was excellent and we also enjoyed the dining atmosphere. The decor was very pretty and the fireplace was relaxing. We will definitely be back!

Rating would be higher but just found out they ran credit card 1 hour after we left for $244… in addition to the $137 for my dinner an hour before. And of course they are closed until Monday. So sounds like they are hiring some questionable people. Anyway… Rojo Wine- fair; Old fashioned- excellent Shisito peppers and romaine salad-amazing Brie and pear salad- skip it… Brie breaded and over fried and dressing bland Gulf pasta- fresh tasting and very good Vegan ravioli- need to go back to your old recipe… veggies undercooked and overall missing some flavor Waitress - busy but nice… we left a 22% tip… but who ran our card again an hour later???

One of our party ordered a cola. It was flat and she asked for a ginger ale instead. It was also flat. The server then said she would make sure it was fixed. The third drink was good, but I don't think this should have happened. Other than that, everything was great! Food was delicious.
