when you sit down in the restaurant you will discover this same

We pride ourselves on offering a good choice of quality dishes, you

As a service based industry, we do our best for your dining experience
to go as seamless as possible. In our endeavours, we would

Pre booked at the Spice Garden Indian Restaurant and looked forward to a authentic Indian meal. As it was our first visit we we're unsure of what to expect, but it didn't disappoint. On first impressions the interior decor was very impressive to say the least. We were shown round to the Bar/restaurant and had a drink while admiring the view of the gardens. We then looked at the menu and it all started to go down hill from there.....on the menu there were only 2 Indian meals - Chicken Madras and Chicken Masala- the authentic Indian meal dream was at an end. We enjoyed our drinks and left making polite excuses. The Spice Indian Garden was definitely short of a Asian starters/dinners, so to call itself a Spice Garden Restaurant is misleading as well as disappointing.

Clear lack of staff presence, had booked in advance. Arrived and there wasn't any staff to be seen anywhere, eventually a lady arrived and showed us to a table. We were then left waiting for over 20 minutes before they brought a menu and wine list. At this point we asked for papadoms to keep us going. No back ground music and very dark. Had to ask for a wine cooler which came full of ice so couldn't actually place the bottle in. Food was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed starters and mains. Weren't offered dessert of coffees and then had to wait another 20 minutes for them to take the money. Could easily have walked out without paying as no staff manning the restaurant.

Service very slow, so no time for dessert. Also don't agree with being forced to pay a service charge, should be at the discretion of the customer. Would not recommend it.

We had a truly fabulous meal at this restaurant. The food was very tasty, beautifully presented and service wasn't rushed nor too slow. The head waiter was obviously a complete professional - he was polite and friendly but not overbearing and didn't feel the need to keep asking it everything was ok as he was confident that it was! My only surprise of the evening was that it was so quiet on a Friday - maybe we were early diners!

Excellent service from friendly pleasant staff. Beautiful restaurant and decor in hotel. Delicious food that was piping hot, though not too spicy. A little draughty sitting near the door. Will definitely go again.

The onion bhajis were not in my opinion home made in the restaurant more like bought in (we have bought the same from Tesco). The chicken had more of a fish texture that was flaky. Everything appeared as if it had been bought in.

The food was excellent but the service poor. We were the only people for an early reservation so expected good and attentive service. Too long to take order. too long between courses. Failed to deliver requested condiment for the main meal and I had to get waiter from the bar to get it after the second asking. By this time half the main course was eaten. Not attentive to needs and no-one in sight for ages.

Absolutely terrible dining experience, waited 35 mins for the drinks to arrive,45 mins for a few poppadoms, after having to enquire where they were. And worst tasting curry ever!
