We had a reservation and they told us when we sat down that we only had the table for an hour and 15 minutes which felt short but I was fine with that. However, they came over after 50 minutes and told us we needed to leave because the next reservation had arrived. If we were walk ins I guess it would have made sense if they had squeezed us in or something but it didn’t make sense being that we had a reservation. For the prices they are charging, I don’t want to get kicked out of my table lol.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The food was incredible, with every dish packed with flavor and beautifully presented. I truly appreciated how accommodating they were with my dairy and gluten intolerance, ensuring I had a delicious and safe meal. Highly recommend for both the quality of food and outstanding hospitality!

We chose this restaurant for its price point and proximity to the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. A party of 4 had 4 great meals. The only lull in the service was 3 meals came out together and the fourth meal was about 10 minutes delayed.

We were looking forward to a cozy dinner in the lower level of The Buttery but had forgotten how very, very loud it is down there. We could barely hear each other; it was painfully loud. The stone walls are part of the ambiance, certainly, but perhaps sound absorbing tiles could be put on the ceiling? Sadly, my dinner, the steak frites, was also disappointing as the steak was flavorless. I did appreciate that the dinner came with nicely grilled and tasty asparagus- it's rare that steak frites comes with a vegetable. We'll give it another try, but unless something is done to dull the noise, will likely stick to outdoor dining in the summer and the always tasty baked goods for breakfast.

Seriously one of my favorite place to go! And today, not only did we seal a great deal with the Fish and Chips & endless flies, they also let us leave with over 12 pastries for free.

You can’t beat the fireplace ambience. So cozy. Great for a date. The food was delicious, however, the chicken Melanese was disappointing as it was just a fried chicken breast toped with romaine lettuce. The Salmon looked amazing though and the brussels sprout appetizers were delicious.

Nearly every interaction with the staff was strange from getting a table to clearing the table.. I got a sausage egg sandwich on a biscuit which ended up being scrambled eggs on a plate with sausage links and a biscuit on the side.. my build your own breakfast sandwich was good and it’s a nice spot. This particular visit was a weird experience through.. I probably wouldn’t sit down again

Very good cocktails. Mussels were quite good too. Entrees were good but didn't blow me away. Highly recommend trying to sit somewhere other than the front room (the bar or fireplace room, for example). On a cold night with patrons going in and out a lot, it wasn't as pleasant.
