Service was slow with few tables occupied. While the live music was a nice touch it was too loud for conversation The food was "fine", would not be worth the price except it is Avalon and everything is at least 25% higher priced than is justified. A 20% tip was automatically added to the bill.......with slow service.......

Our server Philip was outstanding. He knew the menu and was helpful with giving recommendations. We absolutely loved the fried green tomatoes. My husband had the shrimp and grits which she said was delicious. The sauce is very good and flavorful without being overpowering and I did the fried chicken. The mashed potatoes were excellent, and the chicken was juicy yet still crispy as well. Definitely a date night and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We will be back.

Ordered the chopped salad with fried chicken. The chicken was dry and overcooked. Otherwise salad was fine.

Great food and excellent service. Pork Chop was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Great wine list!

I have been to the midtown location dozens of times, and always love my visit. This Avalon location, however was a significant drop off. We stood at the host stand waiting for anyone to greet us and acknowledge our reservation for around five minutes, despite 2 different employees each coming to the desk twice each while actively avoiding eye contact with us to avoid having to greet us. That's a horrible start. Food was fine, with the exception of the eggs on the brisket Benedict being closer to cold than room temperature. They had to have sat in the window for some time, and it wasn't particularly pleasant to eat. I would have said something to the waiter, however once our food was dropped, I didn't see him again until it was time to clear the plates. The tres leches cake we shared for dessert was also pretty bad. I'm not exaggerating when I say the tres leches from Costco is exponentially better. Granted, I have a high standard after growing up in Miami, but still, between 4 of us, we left cake behind so.... I just think there's lousy management at this location that could use a turnover. Definitely not as polished as the service in midtown despite being open for years now. For the price, I likely will not return

It's concerning to hear about the delay in being greeted and the cold eggs on your Brisket Benedict, and we apologize for those issues. My alcohol was substituted with another liquor because they ran out of the alcohol I requested and I was not notified of the change. Deceitful!

We had Thanksgiving dinner at $85 per person and the food was not good. My husband had the short ribs, and he got very sick that night after our meal. The ambiance was very nice and our server was very attentive and polite. I'm not sure I'll go back again based on my food experience on TG.

I spent Thanksgiving dinner at the restaurant. It was decorated with beautiful Christmas decor. The waiters were attentive and dinner was served in a reasonable amount of time. The food was delicious. Second time in on a Holiday. Definitely recommend
