Food good service atrocious. Went 20 minutes without server coming to table - finally had to go to bar to ask for bill.

Great food and my server was terrific. However, we were seated at a table for two next to the stairs. I asked to move to another available table for two and was told no. I'm not sure why since I had a reservation and was there first.

Menu looked really good; however, the food wasn’t. Items ordered from the menu were not what was brought (had substitutions). Taste of seafood was bad. Even the fries were burnt and not edible (ordered those to go). Very disappointing since I was really looking forward to trying them (based on the menu). Will not be returning or recommending.

The food is always great. This particular evening our entrees were brought out before we finished our appetizers and those plates had been cleared. Otherwise good.

Had a birthday request and they exceeded expectations with a sparkler and a candle on our dessert. Food was very good for the price. Steak tartar was delicious!

My wife and I had a lovely evening dining at South Bay for the first time. The food and drinks were outstanding, and the place has a fun vibe; upscale enough for a special occasion (there was a birthday, a first date, and parents visiting their college student around us) but relaxed enough for a spontaneous night out like ours was. We will definitely be back, with friends!

The atmosphere was pleasant although we visited on a Tuesday night so business was slow. The food was a disappointment . We tried the tacos, tuna tartare and eggplant parm. Nothing seem unique nor did it taste homemade (vs processed). The drinks were ok but not worth ordering a second round. As sated it was a Tuesday night, but the service was really poor. The waiter spent most his time on the phone and empty plates remaining our table until we just move them to an empty adjacent table. Maybe we caught them on a bad night but we won't return given so many other better alternatives.
