Located in the heart of Downtown Pompano Beach, South Bar & Kitchen is a contemporary Southern American concept with a heavy Louisiana influence, infusing Cajun and Creole flavors in a tantalizing way. Long wait for food; did not receive utensils until after the appetizers came out. The worst was the fresh fish from f the day was server nearly raw. Very undercooked but the waitress was very nice and offered to bring something else which took 40 more minutes to deliver. I just hoped for faster service after the waitress and manager came to apologize about the first dish.

We were a party of six (6) that enjoyed our Dining experience. We order from the Lunch Menu, although the Dinner Menu was available. The presentation was good and the food was excellent. The experience was so good that my wife and her group are already planning a Lunch Date. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

Food disgusting! Chicken fry way too much, not seasoned, taste like the chicken was left out over night. Burger wasn’t it return both. Boudin roll smelled and taste horrible. Mac and cheese watery. Collard green salty. The best part of the restaurant was the drinks. Service was good but food 0/10 never again

Food was fantastic and exceeded expectations! The brunch menu was awesome and the mimosas were delicious. I look forward to going back again and trying their lunch or dinner menu.

Cool spot, brunch was just insanely LOUD! If they can only turn down the music one notch that would be great. We could not hear the staff or each other - and trust me I like music in a restaurant. Having said that, beautiful space, excellent service, and the food was good. The portion sizes worked perfectly given their brunch concept.

South is absolutely our local favorite! We love the big easy vibes and the delicious food and creative drinks. Sitting out under the lights strung from that beautiful tree listening to live music is just magical. See you there!
