Welcome to Soule to Soule (pronounced Soul to Soul), an intimate soul food tapas restaurant where you create the atmosphere to soulfully connect through savory dishes, a mocktail BYOB experience, and genuine conversations. As the sister restaurant to Soulé Chicago we’re incorporating some of our crowd favorites while introducing new additions to the menu.

Every detail within Soule to Soule was envisioned with you in mind while checking in with the people we love, or engaging in a genuine connection with someone special for the first time. Soule to Soule is all about creating an ambiance that’s top tier as our souls align through good vibes only.

we were excited to come back and experience the soule to soule and it was so bad. We were one of two parties seated. There were about five people working yet. Only one gentleman took our order, brought us our food and apparently made the food. I was seated directly across from the kitchen where they kept the door open so I could see inside. The gentleman who took our order had on a pair of black gloves, and I did not see him change them, despite touching the order device cooking food and making our drinks. This is a BYOB restaurant with no liquor service. We only ordered an Arnold Palmer and a house punch. It took almost 20 minutes to get those drinks because the same gentleman who took our order Had to make the drinks from scratch , as they ran out, but didn’t tell us. I also watched him batter chicken and or fish which alarmed me, however I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt that he changed his gloves at some point when I wasn’t looking. My husband ordered the fried chicken which was delicious and it’s typically what we ordered. However, I ordered the salmon and shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes and I did not eat the salmon or the garlic mashed potatoes. The salmon was disgusting, tasted like old fish on top of a bed of mashed potatoes which then tasted like old salmon fish. For a meal that is $26 you would hope that it was edible, but it was not. The only thing I ate was the shrimp and some of the mashed potatoes that were not touched by the salmon. The waiter came to check on us as he was the only one taking orders again there were three or four other people in the back that I saw doing absolutely nothing. He expressed absolutely no concern about the state of my plate which was almost full portion of salmon and mashed potatoes.I love supporting local black businesses but honestly, the only thing worth it here is fried and I highly recommend you get it to go.

I made a reservation for New Years Eve a week prior to the date. I was pleasantly surprised that they had availability with it being a small space and the holiday. We arrived slightly early for our 7 pm reservation and the restaurant was dark and closed. There was a young lady who nicely told us both locations were closed and apologized. We had to scramble to find other options because mostly everything was booked. And waisted money on parking. I usually love Soule’ so I was disappointed and wanted to highlight this so it doesn’t happen again. Not sure what happened here.

Everything we had was amazing. The lamb chops were seasoned perfectly. The greens, creamed corn, and yams were some of the best I have ever tasted. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy on the inside. The best soul food meal I have had out in a while. Service was great too!

If you are looking for a laid-back atmosphere for dinner, this is the place for you. The food was Delicious and we loved the music! Our waitress Linda was very Professional and Friendly, she made sure that we had everything that we needed. We are looking forward to Dining here again.

The waitress Corey was awesome and patient. The salmon bites were spectacular and the jerk wings were wonderful. The greens and sweet potatoes were delicious. Will visit again!
