At Soul, we let the food speak for itself. Our dishes are simple, balanced and skillfully prepared to bring out the natural flavors and textures. From Southern classics to contemporary fare, we are inspired by the flavors of the Carolinas, the Delta, New Orleans and more.

We believe a meal is as much about the people as it is about the food. Coming together to share a meal creates a sense of community and provides time to relax and connect with friends.

Artfully designed small plates encourage our guests to share a meal like you would at home. Whether it’s a weekend brunch on the patio, a family dinner or happy hour with friends, we look forward to sharing our Soul with you.

Many of our ingredients are sourced locally. We work with local farmers, brewers and other purveyors to provide you with the freshest ingredients available.

Amazing off the beaten path gem. Has small plates which are shareable, one of my favorite ways to eat. Inventive flavors which were perfect. Cannot say enough positive things about Soul.

Great small plates - interesting flavors, not flamboyant. The clam pasta was perfectly seasoned, a light sauce, over freshly made pasta. A delight!

Soul is a great find in an out-of-the way shopping center off busy Forest Drive. Southern-oriented small and smallish plates at lunch and dinner, plus interesting choices for Sunday brunch. Great fried chicken (crisp, moist and not greasy), interesting pastas and innovative brunch choices like johnnycakes (corn pancakes), omelets with andouille and grits. Light and airy atmosphere and a pretty patio.

Another good experience at Soul. The service was quick and friendly and the food delicious and interesting. A neighborhood restaurant that is a good one.

Out of the way but worth finding! Look for it! We read about this little place, tried it based on the write up in a local magazine, and have since been back at least 5 times. It’s truly a neighborhood gem, not near downtown, and set in a non-descript little area… but worth searching for (not hard to find, but kind of hidden away). The small plates are just right, and creatively put together. We find ourselves trying something new each time we go back. One time we had the wild mushroom flatbread with ricotta, and I told our waiter I was disappointed as there were so few mushrooms. Next time we ordered it, they had amped up the mushroom quota! So they are open to suggestions! Everything is tasty. Soups that are better than most restaurants, although there is usually only one (maybe two) on the menu… the shrimp and grits is very tasty, the pulled pork scrumptious. We have not had anything we didn’t like, and we’ve worked our way through at least half of the menu so far… and eager to keep going! Do give it a try.

The service was great for soul food not really mac n cheese needed me or Stouffers was cheesier than this est. the deviled eggs didnt taste all that great but cute. The cornbread was good maybe some soft cream butter wouldve been good and its in a small strip mall.

Great food, service was alittle slow and being a small plates type of restaurant the service could be alittle faster so your not sitting for long periods in between plates.

My 4th visit to Soul was as enjoyable and surprising as the first. The menu items change just enough to offer new things while keeping comforting favorites. The wine list has many favorites on it as well. We opt to dine at small business restaurants and Soul is a very favorite spot for us.
