                                                      Food was very good. View and setting worth the trip. However, there was a delay in getting seated despite having a reservation and at least 45 min wait for food after eventually ordering. Service was excellent. Seems to be a delay in the kitchen causing some issues.

                                                      My sister, daughter and grand daughter and I had the most wonderful meal we have ever had. Everything about the restaurant was perfectly beautiful, immaculate and relaxing. The food presentation was artistic and delicious. We will return, absolutely and will rave about it to our friends. Thank you so much to Julie for her excellent service and Darryl the Chef for his magical creations. The "mushroom" dessert was also incredible and kudos to the pastry chef. Thanks for re-opening in Sooke. It is a restaurant the community can be proud of.

                                                      Enjoyed our appies and cocktails. Service was great and friendly atmosphere. Oysters were delicious and definitely try the GST cocktail delicious! We will be back.

                                                      Perfect place for breakfast on New Years day, had perfect eggs benny. The whole breakfast was very well done, and excellent attention to detail. Would absolutely dine here again. The only negative was a really slow wait to be seated although we were among the first guests to arrive on time upon restaurant opening. However I was probably only mildly annoyed because I was hungry!

                                                      Sooke Harbour House is certainly a nice venue with a lot of potential going forward. Sadly I don’t eat raw food so some of the dishes were not for me. Beautiful presentation and I must say all the servers were so wonderful! My critique lays with the actual setting/restaurant. It was very cold. I had to keep my scarf over me for much of it or over my legs and the table near us had to keep her jacket over her legs. We all chatted about it after and agreed it was a chilly venue!! The chairs were a covered lawn chair style so also not warm, not cozy. They were really hard to get comfortable in. For the price I personally expect many of these things to be on point.

                                                      The seven of us had a wonderful Christmas season brunch..the ambience..service and the cuisine is always 5star!!…at The Sooke Harbour House! We will be back soon.

                                                      It's the Harbour House and while I understand that it's under new management, one does expect an experience that will match the reputation. In this case I find the experience came up short. My friend and I attended for high tea. The food was very dessert heavy and while the sandwiches tasted nice enough, the bread was quite dry. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful, especially the young man acting as host. My friend and I both were a bit puzzled by the waitress and felt there were several awkward exchanges with her, but she was still friendly. I would perhaps try again in the future once they have had a chance to perfect things.
