   Outstanding restaurant! Our food and service was beyond amazing! I highly recommend making it to Son’z while visiting Maui!

   The food was very good. Our server was lovely but she had to many tables to serve. I think they need to hire more help, or we hit the restaurant on a busy night.

   When we were first seated I looked under the table and noticed a whole bunch of trash under neath like napkins,white paper looking like chopsticks and a bunch of other big trash. I started moving it with my foot and I know the host seen but did nothing. The server forgot to bring our appetizer plates so we were eating our seafood tower and escargo with our dirty bread plates. Food took foreverrrr… but my husbands rib eye he said was really good but my wagyu had a funny taste to it. I then realized why there was so much trash under the table. The server takes a rag and just brushes the trash from the table onto the floor. I had my baby’s bag on the floor and she wipes it all on top. We had 6 people, 2 adults and 4 kids and 1 was a baby who didn’t eat one bite of dinner but we still got charged gratuity which was 108$ just for gratuity alone. All in all we spent 609$. I understand automatic gratuity is automatic gratuity but for that price we should have gotten better service and a cleaner experience.

   Had a wonderful rib eye steak for dinner. Every bite was delicious. My family enjoyed a variety of entrees from shrimp scampi to the short ribs. We also enjoyed the calamari and escargot. There wasn’t anything we ordered that was less than wonderful.

   The food was very good. Our server was very attentive. The atmosphere was beautiful and tranquil. Definitely would recommend.

    Perfectly prepared food (we were a party of five) and delicious. My filet was perfect. Only negative. It took quite a long time for the meal to arrive (maybe because we were a party of five all with very different dishes). Sonz is on the ground floor of the Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali and has a pretty view of the swan pond but is too low to see the ocean. Huge open air room that is quieter than most the Kaanapali restaurants.
