While wandering through Haunted Basin, be aware of The Mountain Morgue where deathly food and beverages will be served at your demise. Our haunted creations are consciously hand crafted from scratch with the upmost premium ingredients, without artificial flavors or colors.

Our eerie drinks include Betelgeuse, featuring an edible June beetle; the Ectoplasm Martini, crafted with a ghostly elixir made from peppers and cucumber; the Black Window with its true darkness derived from squid ink; or the Pet Cemetery with a scrumptious battered chicken foot. The food menu is inspired by the most evil inhabitants of this earth with tasty bites and seared flesh.

During the winter, Cinnabar is your après ski spot, conveniently located just inside Earl’s Lodge at the base. It's family friendly with incredible gastro-pub style cuisine and a full complement of spirits, wine, and local craft beers. Live music is offered on weekends during the ski season.

The ambience was fantastic, exactly what I was hoping for. Elegant spookiness without being too cartoon-y. The cocktails we had were great except the Blood Sample was waaaaay too heavy on the Campari so it just tasted like chewed up aspirin, much too bitter. The chicken liver pate was delicious but unfortunately it was very apparent that they toasted the bread much earlier that day so it had a weird stale cookie texture. The smokehouse smelled delicious but overall was lacking flavor. The dessert was abysmal, totally lacking flavor and panna cotta had so much gelatin in it that my fork could barely cut through it, it was hard like it was frozen. The burgers and “English style” chips were good and overall considering the location and the event, pricing wasn’t bad so that was appreciated. Service on the other hand was totally lacking. The hostesses at the front were great, very friendly, welcoming and used my first name which stood out. Once we were seated it was clear that the restaurant was either short staffed or had scheduled the “B” crew. They were slow, lacked knowledge of the menu and forgetful. At one point I asked 2 different servers and a food runner a question about the menu and NONE of them knew the answer or offered to check for me. If Snow Basin chooses to do this again next year I may try it again but I hope that they would staff up stronger FOH members, and fine tune the food a bit.

Such a fun Halloween activity! Sad that the Haunted Forest was closed, but can't control the weather, so totally understandable. The drinks were AMAZING!! I didn't love the food selection, especially for how expensive it was, but the creative spooky names and descriptions were very fun! Haunted Basin, such a clever idea. Can't wait to do it again!

We LOVED Haunted Basin, and so hope this returns next year! The themed menu was spectacular, and so delicious! Another truly exceptional experience at our beloved Snowbasin!

Snowbasin never disappoints in ambience, views, and service, but… the food continues to be bad. So sad. The Mountain Morgue event was a great idea; very creative, fun to be a part of, but that food tho… never good, any season.

Such delicious food. Most incredibly beautiful surroundings. The weather was perfect. Could not have asked for a better fall brunch experience.

We enjoyed our food, time and service. I still feel like it's a little on the expensive side, but I went in expecting it, so I guess I knew what I was getting into. There weren't any surprises and cost is clear upon reservation. The whole experience was to expectations.

This place is magic. Highly recommend. The food was amazing. Our server, Ian, was outstanding. He really added to our experience. The views are like a postcard. I can’t wait to return.
