New Years Eve is not the best time to gauge the good and the bad of any venue, we were seated promptly, slight wait. To be waited on. Cheerful ,friendly overworked server did. her best in serving, which was fine. Food quality and temperature were good, considering the crowd. Noise level was high as expected for the holidays. All in all, a good experience and will return to try again without the holiday .

Smith’s is a very good place to go for a bite to eat if you’re not looking aren’t looking for a quiet atmosphere. The atmosphere, especially in the lounge area with a fireplace and couches, is very much like an English pub. The menu is generally upscale pub food, with a nice variety of appetizers, soup/salad, sandwiches, interesting pizzas, and entrees. This time I chose the pizza with arugula and prosciutto, a very tasty combination. Others chose the hot honey chicken pizza, a marghereta pizza, a smashburger, and a soup/salad. They have a good selection of beers and cocktails too. The service was excellent, not only competent, but personable as well. Although we all enjoyed our food, the pizza crusts were a little too charred. Otherwise the rating would be 5 stars.

Lunch before a show at Cohoes Music Hall. Biggest mozzarella sticks I have ever seen and they were delicious!! Espresso Martini was delicious too!

We had reservations before a show. Even though the bar and tables were full, our service was quick- food & drinks were excellent as always. Thanks so much!

Had a group of 10 for dinner. Service was great. Everyone enjoyed their food. Would highly recommend! A few in our group had never been to Smith’s before and said they are definitely going back!

We had a cousin holiday lunch and chose this location as many years ago our Aunt used to bring us here. We had a great time and would have loved to sit by the fire!

went on a Saturday afternoon before a show at the Music Hall. We had made reservations and were seated promptly. The place was busy due to the weekend show but service was quick, the food was hot and prices were good. We both enjoyed a cocktail and loved the huge roaring fireplace.

Our new favorite restaurant!. Nice staff, cozy atmosphere and a nice mix of comfort/ novel dishes. Have not had a bad bite yet. You will feel at home here, old ambiance but new cooking. We love it. tmc

Beautiful, historic restaurant. Pierogi appetizer & Miso Salmon & Fish & Chips entrees were great. Prompt, friendly service.
