Meticulously researched, planned and executed by the team led by Chef Sahil Sethi, and mentored by none other than Chef Sujan Sarkar, SIFR is a refreshingly different story of Middle Eastern cuisine seen through a whole new lens of creativity.

SIFR’s dishes are mostly cooked over a charcoal and wood-fired hearth, offering Mezze and larger plates, best shared family-style, as is common in Middle Eastern culture.

Great service for dinner at the bar. Food was excellent. Bartenders friendly,helpful and efficient. Fun vibe. We will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Sifr. Our server was very attentive and gave great recommendations. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the entrance and bathrooms were fully wheelchair accessible. We started with the veggie mezze and tuna. The tuna was especially delicious, and we were offered crudite in addition to the pita because two of us are gf. We ordered the duck, beef, cauliflower and chicken kebobs, all of which were wonderful—highly recommend the duck! We will definitely be returning.

the upstairs bartender was an absolute gem! We had such a wonderful evening visiting Sifr, even just through the drinks we could feel the hard work that has been put into this concept! We will absolutely be back

The atmosphere when you walk in the door was fantastic. The interior design is elevated and a beautiful space to dine in. The food was exceptional. The plating and the flavors were spectacular. Everyone in our party of six loved it. The service is 5-star. And our server David… I hope you all are lucky enough to get. He is exceptional at what he does and expert in guiding you through the menu. Our experience was elevated by the expertise of our server David. Thank you.

We tried Sifr on our last night in Chicago. We had their mezze appetizer and an eggplant small plate. The harissa chicken on the platter was amazing and it should be available as a small plate but isn’t. The restaurant is a bit loud but has a great vibe. The food was overall excellent with friendly service that was great as well. The date cake desert is one of the best we have had and we have had that a lot. Highly recommend Sifr and we will be back the next time we visit the Windy City.

This place is killer. Dynamite Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean food. The chef’s tasting menu at $75 per person is a steal. Run, don’t walk. ❤️

A friend and I came to SIFR and got their prix fixe menu. Beautiful atmosphere, friendly service, very tasty food, but the portions are so small for the price you actually feel like you’ve been robbed.
