Fantastic experience… first time at Shorebird. It was a busy night and we were seated on time. First time there but not the last! Get the pork chop if available!

We were dining with an elderly woman in a family reunion so the very loud ambiance was not ideal for conversation due to large groups celebrating all over the restaurant but we ( the younger member’s of the family) loved everything else about it.

My family flew in from out of town and I booked an early table for 6 for Happy hour drinks and appetizers before dinner. We were made aware happy hour pricing is only for seating at the bar after we sat. No where on their website does it say happy hour is restricted to the bar. We spoke to the manager and kindly asked if they’d honor it at our table seats and they refused. We got up and left. Kind of ridiculous to have limitations on a happy hour and not make you aware ahead of time. They lost hundreds of dollars from our table to save $8 per espresso martini and $3 on a sushi roll…. And we would have bought multiple rounds and apps. Pretentious place. I wouldn’t have booked this restaurant had I known, and we won’t be back. **changed to 3 star as response to owners message

To clarify, our happy hour details, including seating areas, are clearly outlined on OpenTable, where most guests make reservations: When: Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 5:30 PM Where: Available exclusively at the bar and surrounding high-top tables. This policy aligns with international standards for quality restaurants to maintain a casual and vibrant experience. Our GM also offered to seat your party near the bar to accommodate you, but we understand this option did not meet your preferences. It feels excessive to receive a one-star rating without trying our food or service, especially as our staff works hard to provide an excellent experience for all guests. -JM

I visited Shorebird for a friend's 21st birthday, and while the food was great and the ambiance was lovely—quiet, elegant, and perfect for a celebration—there were a few downsides. The appetizer portions were smaller than expected, and despite noting the birthday in our OpenTable reservation, we still had to ask for a birthday dessert. Service was friendly but not as attentive as I’d hoped for the price. Overall, a nice spot with great food, but a few improvements needed in service and portion sizes.

Food was delicious. Best filet we’ve ever had. Halibut was cooked to perfection. Love the avocado fries. Scallop appetizer was just ok-smallest scallops we’ve ever had at a restaurant. Our server was excellent and the ambiance very cool. The only complaint is the noise level inside. Very loud, but vibrant. It’s quieter at an outside table.
