Shore Leave is our interpretation of a tropical escape through the lens of our love for Boston’s rich dining scene.
Named after a sailor’s leisure time on dry land, Shore Leave’s tropical cocktails take you away from the hustle and bustle. This space, music, and most importantly, our Shore Leave team, make every moment here feel like watching the sun go down with your feet in the sand. Off the main drag, just below the street in Boston’s South End, Shore Leave brings you along on an everyday vacation.
Options are available for regular dining or the OMAKASE at SHORE LEAVE EXPERIENCE. We do not take reservations for "just drinks", so cancellation fees will apply. Just drinks-walk in for bar seats! We ID at the door. Underage guests are permitted but not permitted at the bar.

Stop by for live entertainment! Shore Leave hosts The People's Karaoke most Fridays beginning at 10pm and surf rock band The Electric Heaters Thursdays beginning at 8pm. Entertainment varies so call for details!

Join us at the Sushi Counter at Shore Leave for a fast & fun take on a tasting menu! If you are not familiar with Omakase, it translates to "I trust you"; you are trusting the sushi chef to curate your meal of approximately 12 courses. Expect a variety of bites including nigiri, sashimi, and tempura. This experience is quick paced so that you can enjoy the nigiri the moment it is made—as soon as you finish one piece, you’re handed the next by our sushi chef, who is right in front of you at the counter. Come early or stay late to enjoy cocktails and extra bites at Shore Leave’s bar! Your Omakase experience will be $85 per person not including tax or gratuity and will be approximately 12 courses.

We had to make a last minute change to our reservation and employees at Shore Leave were very friendly, responsive, and communicative. It's a great spot with a lively atmosphere, and interesting a cocktails. We always make it a point to visit when we are in town.

Awful service . Forgot our drinks 3x killing the vibe and extending the wait . Drinks aren’t measured or put in the proper glass - who puts vodka in a 16oz tall water glass ? Was asked to relocate to the bar after reserving a table because apparently cleaning up happens before closing time - again what a vibe killer . No standing space , No dancing , Nothing like the TikTok videos on it suggest .

Drinks are always great and the staff have consistently been friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. “Recently” they added a full sushi bar to expand on their food offerings, and we got to try it last night. The sushi was outstanding; fresh, quality fish. and not your standard nigiri. Each piece had a unique preparation, or sauce, or topping that was an excellent addition to the quality fish. And shoutout to the mushroom maki roll which was amazing. Don’t sleep on it. And from the bar menu the crab rangoon are more than just cheese pockets (jalapeños and scallion and flavor!) and the Okonomiyaki tater tots were so good too. In summary: I always thought this place was a solid time for great tiki drinks and atmosphere, but the food has really come to be reason alone to visit.

Everything was stellar. Staff are genuine and engaged and wanted everyone to have a great time. The food was 👌🏽. No conpalints AT ALL. will be back a thousand times .
