Having always been at the heart of Valley life, the 17th century Shibden Mill Inn was originally a corn and spinning mill, before being converted into a country pub in 1890.

Today’s visitors are welcomed with warm hospitality to enjoy first class dining against an inviting backdrop of open fires, low beamed ceilings and a cosy bar. Eleven individually styled bedrooms make comfortable and luxurious retreats, epitomising boutique country style and featuring lots of thoughtful touches.

And if you can drag yourself away from the Inn, there are wonderful walks from the doorstep and world class attractions within easy reach. For a spot of retail therapy or a cultural fix, Halifax is a 10-minute drive and Leeds is just 30 minutes away.

Sunday lunch - service was great as always. Sunday lunch was good and the roast beef was amazing,. Always a favourite and the outside drinking/seating area had a real buzz about it.

Really friendly staff, a bit of confusion on our side originally booked table for 6:45 then amended from 4 to 6 must have changed the time on the booking by mistake. Staff were very accommodating to this and we were still seated. Great food and atmosphere

Shibden Mill In do lovely food and is an atmospheric place to visit. 10% service charge is automatically added so be aware if you don't want to pay it and give your own level of "tip".

I attended with my mum and sister for a quiet girls night. The food was amazing, some of the best we’ve had. I’ll be dreaming of the brown butter cake dessert for a long while! The service was excellent, attentive without being bothersome. We were sat upstairs in a gorgeously low-lit room, very cosy vibes. Excellent value for money, especially when you consider the quality of the food and experience. We’d only ever popped in for a drink before, but we will definitely be coming back for the food!

What a wonderful first visit to shibden mill yesterday the service and food were just simply excellent. Honestly we were treated so amazingly by every single member of staff who attended to us what a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to return to the area to visit again! I even bought a wedding dress locally so we could visit here each time I have to re visit the shop (not that an excuse is needed!) thank you so very much x

Shibden Mill Inn has an adventurous menu. As a occasional visitor, it is always a pleasure to sample new tastes and textures. That's a pleasure when so many other venues plump for well tried dishes. It is not cheap but it does give value. We were lucky as the restaurant was not busy so the noise levels were low, added to which the staff were very attentive, and the food impeccably cooked and served. This all made for a very enjoyable outing.
