Set in the idyllic beachside town of Lennox Head in Northern New South Wales, Shelter is your home away from home, whether you are just passing through or you’re part of the local community. With the community in mind, we endeavor to use ethically sustainable, seasonal products sourced from local producers and suppliers. We are also keen on cultivating and creating awareness of the importance of supporting local growers while educating people about the food they consume as well as where it’s from and how it’s produced. We offer a full service venue from a picturesque beachside ceremony location (across the road), cocktail outdoor area and indoor restaurant with windows folding right back to bring the outdoors in. Our in-house co-ordinator will make preparation for and the running of your day a breeze as we include liaising with the chefs and suppliers, run sheet and coordination on the day. ACCOMMODATION - CUPOLA Recently and tastefully renovated, highlighting the sun from the moment it rises until the stars come out at night, this little nest above our restaurant is the perfect place to stay after your celebrations. Great Sunday afternoon treat. Grilled Octopus, Steak and Frites with salad greens paired the delicious bubbly and professional friendly staff. Life is good. Thankyou Team Shelter. 😊

Just when you think they cant top their last meal, they do. The fish was amazing & the poached apricot dessert sublime Cant wait for next time

Noisy- low ceilings and hard surfaces. Overpriced. Not up to the standard of other restaurants in the Northern Rivers that charge similar or lower prices. Restricted mains list.

All restaurants should strive for the balance that Shelter effortlessly achieves. Incredible flavours, inventive menu, knowledgeable and friendly staff and a fantastic ambience.

What a spot! Enjoy an expertly made cocktail with a view of the ocean, delicious food, great vibe and even live music on a Sunday. The service here is the best in town. Can’t wait to come back!

I come here every Sunday for a matcha and sometimes breakfast and it's such a lovely ritual. I have been here a few times for dinner and it is always always sublime. Last night's delicious feast was no exception- I was so proud to introduce the venue to my colleagues who commented variously through the night how lovely it all was, and one said she'd be back to do a little work and eat :) very happy!
