Serving signature pastas made in-house daily, paired with the highest quality, locally-sourced ingredients along with fresh local seafood. Scarpetta’s famous Spaghetti Tomato & Basil is nothing short of classic simplicity in both taste and preparation.

Due to strict dining capacity guidelines in compliance with social distancing surrounding the reopening of Rhode Island state, table timing restrictions are in effect. Terrible. No había más nadie en el restaurant, solo nuestra mesa. Tuvimos que devolver el pescado porque estaba malo. La pasta estuvo OK. Definitivamente overpriced

Wayyyy to loud - also wasn’t told Scarpetta wasn’t opening post Covid so we were at Showfish (which might be what Scarpetta is now? It was very unclear.)

Concept changed to Showfish days before our visit. Was told it would still be good for an anniversary dinner. The food was absolutely awful, we were basically seated in the lobby coffee bar. No ambiance at all. Beyond disappointed.

We were called about a week prior to our arrival letting us know that Scarpetta had changed to Showfish. We opted to keep our reservation which turned out to be a mistake. Perhaps the wait staff at a supposedly fancy restaurant being dressed in jeans and sweatshirts should have been our first clue. Our meal was served in the more casual bar, presumably due to COVID guidelines, so Monday night football was on. Again, not my ideal for a fancy restaurant and also not for our anniversary dinner. Our waitress was horrible. She got several orders wrong, including ours. My husband ended up getting his meal first and finished it before my even arrived. The manager came by to check why I had sent my meal back, obviously not getting the message that it was not what I ordered. Even with his help the meal couldn't be expedited. In the midst of all this our waitress supposedly had an emergency and had to leave. None of the other staff could sort out what was going on. The table next to us also got the wrong order while I was still waiting for my meal. We think the tickets got switched but no one was able to figure that out. The other couple didn't get their meal until we were leaving. I normally give a good tip regardless, but I was so disappointed with this place that I couldn't justify it. We didn't stick around to see how they would mess up dessert. The food ended up being good but the service completely ruined the experience. We picked another night at a different restaurant and decided to call that our anniversary dinner.

We loved having dinner here - the service was A + and from the wine to the fresh yellowtail appetizer, to our steak and duck with the famous Scarpetta spaghetti for dinner .. Our plates were licked clean ! Highly recommend Gurney's for a classy night out.

My husband and I were there to celebrate our wedding. As soon as we were seated, our waitress came over with a complimentary glass of champagne for each of us and immediately asked if we wanted a nice picture in front of the sunset. Our waitress was amazingly attentive. Our food was delicious too, although some of our items were a bit salty (and that is coming from a lover of salt). Overall, it was a very nice celebratory dinner and experience. Beautiful atmosphere!
